Let's breakdown the mechanics of the new platform fighter from Warner Bros, MultiVersus!
Multiversus, the new smash bros-like game from Warner Bros and Player First is already pretty different from its peers on a mechanics level. The closed alpha gave us a glimpse at things like team composition, character mastery perks, the battle pass, and even Ultra Instinct Shaggy. Check out tons of new gameplay and a few things that we've learned from our time fighting Tom and Jerry, Velma, and even Steven Universe.

Honestly everything about this game looks so much more polished than the Nickelodeon one. Not to mention this game seems to have a bit more of it's own identity rather than being almost a straight Smash clone, what with being built around team synergy and the perks system.

This game is just straight up better, even in its closed beta test. It already has just as many characters with way more depth, more moves, more thoughtful character designs, items, incredible combo potential, etc…. Not even close.

The little guys from Steven's moveset are "Watermelon Stevens", in the show Steven learns he has the ability to evolve plant life to sentient levels using his healing ability.

The emphasis on team works is something that really separates this from smash. Too bad the game seems too floaty, as these games really rely on the physics being just right

Make a fighting game that incudes Star Wars, Marvel, The Muppets, Simpsons, classic Disney toon characters(Mickey, Donald, etc), Pirates of the Caribbean and so on. Having actors reprise their roles too would be a bonus

This is so much more of a brawlhalla clone, just because the graphics and ui look like smash bros doesn't mean it resembles the game in any way. Look at the movesets of the characters they are all very similar to brawlhalla weapons. ie shaggy and gauntlets. The signatures (heavy attacks) are also the same being Hadley quinns heavy attack kit is the EXACT SAME as caspians.

That's not Ultra Instinct.. That is regular old standard Super Saiyan, not even a Super Saiyan 2 transformation. It also can't be designated rage, Super Saiyan Rage is the form Trunks uses to fight Goku Black.. Don't be getting your information wrong.

Needed to focus on 1v1 and the competitive side as well. That's what drives a game to have lasting staying power. It doesn't seem like it has combos or any hit stun. Character fly too far away and recover too quickly even at low %
