Mum and Dad's wedding, August 15th,1953 

A film showing my parents wedding at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton in 1953. Unfortunately, my Dad's pal had the focus set for close up thinking it was on 'infinity'. The result was their wedding was filmed completely out of focus. I think my parents could only bring themselves to watch the film once! However, with the wedding photos I have included in the edit, the sounds and music, the overall result is effective in recreating the atmosphere of their special wedding day in 1953. I remember, my Dad said that he was very nervous on their wedding day and couldn't wait to get up to Keswick to begin their honeymoon. Firstly, at the Hazeldene then a week of camping and walking the Lakeland fells with their trustee 'Blacks' two man tent providing the accommodation.
