Videos may be a little sparse this year since Diana is super busy in her new job, however, I'll avoid getting into politics/bringing that onto this channel because I know that can be a sensitive topic for some. The name "Lisa" Actually was named after Steve Jobs Daughter but the made it and abbreviation because Steve Jobs didn't get the permission from the mother.

Diana's way to navigate Lisa is reminding me through multiple old video such as Mac OS X 10.2, Windows 1.01, Windows 3.11, NextSTEP, SymbOS, MacOS System Software 1.0, and so many videos, gosh Diana's illiteracy to Mac never ages haha

its funny how this computer was one of the only computers of its time to have a GUI, and now everyone relies on a GUI to use their computer (like me lol)

It's nice to see you using the floppy disks that came with Lisa, I remember way back when your mum tried the Mac OS System 1.1 (1984), you guys didn't use the floppy disks that came bundled with it (MacWrite and MacPaint) and you instead used Notepad to write the text document! Also, I'm pretty sure that in order to eject the floppy disks from Lisa you merely had to select the disk icon before selecting "Eject" instead of opening it (that's how it worked with Mac computers).

Hi Phil, nice to see you back on the channel and yeah I heard that you are planning to do foster care from the end of the year, I appreciate your passion, good luck! Also if you feel like your videos are getting sparse, the best idea is to find a time where both you and Diana are free for a considerable amount of period and shoot like a bunch of videos quickly one after another so that even if you are busy later, you can keep up with RU-vid, for example if you film 10 videos within a week, you can manage with it for 5-6 months without any issues.

one funny thing about the lisa, you never actually turned it off, it used an early version of standby. meaning if you unplugged the lisa it would get mad. kinda like the fast boot of modern windows, it just hibernated

Raspberry Pi OS next please!! Just a heads up though: the desktop version (known as Raspberry Pi Desktop) is slightly different to the regular Pi version. Both are Debian based, but the desktop version AFAIK can have lots more installed to it since it is not ARM based like the Pi version.

I wish Diana could try out Microsoft Hololens but it's way too expensive, maybe some day. :)

This was before Microsoft created Windows. However, unlike Microsoft, Apple doesn't license its operating system to OEMs limiting it to just their computer that they made.

WOW. The new Mac Studio was announced today with the new ULTRA M1 CPU. 2 M1 Max chips put together with 64GB of Ram. Price $4000. I'm getting one. Maybe I can find one for $3500. a $500 discount. or buy on APPLE College student program. This Mac mini studio is screaming fast. And power efficient.
