Yes, this MUM Torx20, but few models of MUM robot has Torx20 & Torx15, so I was not sure, I tried T15 first 🙃

I need to replace my carbon brush I think. I ordered a new one and will try reassembling once the part arrives. Is there a good choice of grease for taking some precaution and lubricating the gears when I am at it? Can I just use any universal grease e.g. CRC (DIN 51502), or what do I need to consider? Thank you for this great video!

Yes, any food grease is ok, especially for white gears, they like to crack. There is never enough food grease.

Just got one of these and the whisk attachment hits the bowl towards the front of the machine. Do you think there's any way to adjust that? Feels like the head is sitting slightly too low on the hinge.

That whisk can be assembled without any problem? it cant be probably fully locked inside due to faulty top part (00622181) that should hold whisk

@@proexservis my guess is that the head isn't parallel to the ground but since it's a brand new thing, I think I'll just return it instead of trying to fix it. Thank you so much for all your time and effort!

Hi, thanks for sharing the video, it's truly impressive! I encountered an issue with my Bosch MUM5 during its last use. There was a distinct burnt smell and subsequently, it stopped working. Could you please provide some insight into the problem? Do you think it is feasible to repair? Thank you!

Hi, probably carbon brushes worn out, but I would suggest to check rotor and gears inside before replacing only carbons. 👍

First, disassemble machine, you should be able to see on carbons and rotor, then you have to unscrew torx20 screws from motor and by this you can check plastic gears and replace any damaged part

Is there a way to remove the fanwheel? (gray piece at the top of the motorshaft 4:15) Mine was stripped and I cannot get it off without risking breaking the plastic gears in the housing.

Yes, you have to hold tight rotor and unscrew that plastic gear for bottle, you can disassemble those white gears first to not damage it

Hello, do you have cord winder in that MUM5? If not, then you have to open in on top, like in video and blue/brown wires on circuit board is end of the electric cable.

Standard T20 torx bit, on Bosch GSR 12V-35, look for 12V-35 HX or FC (it is new model of mine, better, mine is 7-10 years old)

You have to put it on the body and turn clockwise, it should lock in

Unfortunately I have the same problem- there is a minimal plastic latch in the engine housing that might have broken off. It is hard to say, but perhaps it is supposed to slot into the gap in the hinge and latch on, but it’s too worn down to attach. If that is the case, it is very poor design of the latching mechanism imo, unless the screws clamp it in place once tightened, perhaps?

@@jakobryden it holds thanks to bayonet mount, then you have to add something to 2 holes from top (before you attach top cover), it should hold until you connect all cables and mount motor unit (with regulator). Then put white top cover and screws

There are just plastic latches 🥲 first try to pry up that top latch rly hard and then slide cover.
