@@alfonsoandjessica Panipuri is not Mumbai dish, though over time it has spread all accross India it is originally a north Indian dish. Mumbai lies in Western India. Mumbai dish with similar name is Bhelpuri, but it is very different dish. You should try that also, if you are able to get it somewhere. And to enjoy Panipuri fully you need to fill it till the top not half fill it. One more famous North Indian street food is "Aloo tikki chat". Try it if you get it somewhere :).
When in India visit 1. Rajasthan - For Royalty & Deserts 2. Manali/Himachal - For Show 3. Goa - For Beaches 4. Kerla - For Backwaters 5. Amritsar - For Golden temple 6. Mumbai - For street Food 7. Delhi - For Monuments 8. Taj Mahal Best time to visit India is Nov to Feb
Yummyyy! You can never go wrong with Pani Puriii. I like to fill the puri with pani to the brim lol and I was telling you not to bite the cardamom seed through the screen haha it's for flavor
That dessert you tried is called gajar halwa, & that seed you ate is called green cardamom pot & you are supposed to discard that while eating halwa, it's just flavor enhancing element.. Btw you are doing really great... & one more thing if you are planning to visiting India, do come to my City, Kolkata.. You will love this place.. ❤
In Hindi, Carrots are called 'Gajar'. Watching you and Alfonso eat Indian food with relish suddenly brings to life my craving for Indian food :)_ Therefore I watch your channel only when I have some Indian food in the kitchen :)- Some other street food: North Indian: Pav Baaji (Mumbai), Kachori, Samosa Chat, Bhel Puri, Chola Batura, Maggie Masala Noodles; South Indian: Pakodi, Bhajji, Mirchi Bhajji (Bhajji made with Jalapeno like vegetable), Puri-Kurma, Upma,; Sweets/dessert: Jalebi (or Jangri), Kesari, Laddoo, Gulab-Jamun, Rassogulla. You can get many of these as pre-packaged and 'ready to eat' at any good Indian store for a very economical price. Not sure where you live, but you should google some Indian food stores and go buy a few things there and try them out. Don't forget to get some make-at-home Maggie Masala Noodles packets (these are marketed in India as dho-minute or two-minute noodles, but do take 5-10 min to cook). You could do a vlog as you are buying and trying them.
You are doing so well with eating with your hands. When you go India you have to try home cooking because the flavours are more intense than restaurant cooking.
Visit India only winter season bcoz in summer there is to much hot...visit mumbai first later other cities...every state have their own dishes diffrent flavours..i hope i see you soon in india..👍❤️
I love your perfect way of eating it. You're eating in a very Indian way. Love from India. Actually, raita goes with almost evrything including Biriyani. Gajar means carrot, so that's why gajar ka halwa. Here halwa means a sweet dish.
u can also try chicken / mutton/ egg/ paneer "kathi rolls" . it is a very famous street food of kolkata , india . i am from kolkata city and after panipuri kathi rolls r my most favourite 😋😋
Great video as usual. I dont know why these videos aren't recommended to people enough by youtube algorithm helping the channel to blow up. Maybe make shorter videos but more number of videos per day so that every video has a higher time spent per person ratio.
When you visit India, do visit Odisha. It isn't much of a popular tourist places, but, I bet you will enjoy a lot here. Some great places to visit in Odisha are - Puri, Konark, Chilika, Khandagiri, Similipal. Some good food to try are 1. Chhenapoda 2. Puri khajaa(Available near Jagannath temple Puri)(You can also try prasad there) 3. Dahibara Aloodam(Best in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar ) 4. Khirachora Gopinath Mandir Prasad(Balasore) - Really awesome 5. Samosa, Vada(Here the samosa is bit different than samosa in rest of India) 6. Go to any good sweet shop and try various sweets 7. Another thing to try is pakhala, badi chura and fish fry (But, I doubt whether you will get it at restaurants - This is something we eat a lot at home during summer)
If you visit India, travel south india in winter - the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Goa and Andhra Pradesh. Also go to Himalayan states if you are coming in winter - Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Assam. These are the best places to visit in India.
Yes raita goes with every dish.. just mix and match according to your taste. And the seed you ate in dessert was elaichi i think. You were not supposed to eat it. But that's fine. That seed is what you taste in chai most of the time. Gajar Halwa is made with lots of cheese called khoa in hindi. I dont know whats it called in english
Actually we use our all 5 fingers [Like we use pen (but some people use only 3 fingers 🤔 anyways 😂) i mean 😅]so that the bite can be a bit big and easy to eat , But that's also fine eat however you want ...😁😊 😋 Love from India 🇮🇳❤️
You should have to try Mumbai chi pav bhaji there in this dish you got pav means type of soft square bread and smash bhaji in this includes some type of vegetables like capsicum, potato Coliflower, tomato, green peas all they cooked it and then smash together and after they add pav bhaji masala and some spices and ginger garlic paste and add lots of butter in in this and again serve it on top butter chunk with chopped onions and coriander with bread Amazing, think should have to try you gonna love it
Immediately subscribed after seeing she's eating with hands ❤️❤️❤️ And please come to India. There are so many beautiful places. Small tip: Beware of scams (you can just walk away) & stay in good hotels. Especially don't stay in Pahargang.
Namaste, Happy to see you eating Pani Puri. Also try Indian dress with Bindi, kajal, bangles, mahendi (Heena) and gajra ( Flower on hair). Your voice is very sweet sister. Welcome to India. May God bless all the souls in the Universe.
Dear Jessica plz do not eat the green cardamom. Its for flavouring the halwa. Do not consume any whole spice you come across in Indian food, they are for flavouring the food not to be eaten. Thanks for enjoying the Indian delicacy but it's completely different of what is cooked in Indian homes. Which is altogether different experience though very yummy
I'm sure you're gonna land in New Delhi the capital, Delhi has a lot to offer, and you can go straight to the Red fort & the Taj Mahal from there. If you're a historical person, visit Rajasthan, you will be amazed to see the forts, lakes and the culture. For night life, beaches go to Goa. You can't miss the Golden temple in Amritsar. The list is actually never ending, there's much much more but these are some of the must visits😇☺️☺️.
You have to try delhi jaypuri chaats it's incredible ....Gajar ka halwa is bollywood mother recipe ..For film hero always made by his mother one is 1. besan ke ladoo 2. Gajar ka halwa... (Jokes a part ) but Very common in indian house made by mother (maa ka pyaar)..

A must visit place in India is of course Kerala in the south, and you’ve to visit Ooty, Bengaluru, Goa, Mumbai, Delhi and of course Kolkata. Also a must visit is the North East part of India which is under appreciated but definitely worthy of a visit
Jessica the best time to visit India is between January to March. If you really want to explore India and know abt her culture you should have at least 1 month in hand.
Visit North India, south India, west India and North East India....You be surprised how the traditions and food are different in these places. Many foreigners just visit one or two places in north India and think that's how whole the whole India is...but the south is very different from the north and same goes for the west and east...
Indian Street foods which are also available in America : Aalu tikki, papdi chat, paav bhaji, Vada paav, sambar Vada, bhel puri, bread pakoda (hard to find), aalu kachodi, all sorts of parathas (aalu, paneer etc), all sorts of rolls ( tandori, chicken tikka, egg etc) , momos (India dumplings), keema burger, kababs ( chicken, mutton), bhalle papdi. I guess these are only items which I've seen in other vloggers videos. This is just the tip of the iceberg in Indian Street food. I've excluded the items which you have already tried. Best of luck.
So Pani Poori the round poori is made out of semolina (Rava) and deep fried. The pani ( water ) is made out of mint, coriander with tamarind and spices to give that top flavour
