This song is just everything that I am at this point. As for most of you, I assume, this song can be relatable on many different levels. To me...This is just the perfect representation of my being, from the beginning to the end. Every line of this song was able to touch my heart, curely gripping at it because the way it resonates with me. Little Lion Man perfectly describes what I am as a person, what I have been through my current life of 21 years. To me...I am Little Lion man. For so long I have had to deal with so much on my extant. I know everyone has their own problems and THEY ARE just as important to deal with as anyone's. No problem is small, never ever compair it to others. All of my life I was made felt by others and I eventually convinced myself that I am not enough and my problems don't matter. I developed attachment issues, rejection disphoria and my own naivety that made me to make poor life decisions and choices. I'm going through a lot of self-discovery and I am working on my self-esteem and self-worth, trying to find and accept my sexuality and general identity after relying on others opinions for so long. Im trying not to fall in my own traps again. I have wept for myself for so long, hoping for the best and every time I thought I found it...I fell for the same mistakes over and over again. I will never be what is in my heart because I'm a people pleaser and it is hard for me to put up boundaries. I'm not brave enough when I was at the start because every time a falter or trip the same emotionals scares open and it takes time for me to recover, falling into a pit of self-loathing and self-pity. But all the courage I have gathered was spent on solving all the issues I made up in my head bc i always overthought everything, trying to make everyone satisfied around me while I forgot about myself. And because of my well-intened heart I just get stuck in a loop always hoping that this time everything is going to be different. This is true in every aspect of my life. Instead of listening to my parents learning from their mistakes because, my mother who planted so much of her generational traumas in me could all make a difference... But I'm just not bold enough, I always get humbled... I'm trying to be a Lion but I'm just a little man, trying to figure myself out, creating my own life in this big world as I'm slowly stepping on the doorstep of adulthood. But maybe...It was not my fault this time... Maybe this comment is not going to mean anything at the end of the day and I might delete it, but this song just means so much to me. The moral of this is suppose to be this after all: We are all just humans and we make mistakes. Accpet yourselves and stay true and honest to those who you really care for and give you the same respect in their own ways cuz not everyone can give and recive the same way... As hard as it is, try not to take everything personally and take a deep breath to start anew...no matter on what scale, let it be a big start or a small. Have a great day everyone and be your own Little Lion Man! Edit: You can also fuck things up. That is human nature. Just stay true to your self and actions, the ones who truely know and value you for who you are will always stay by your side no matter the distance, physically AND emotionally.

I remember my math teacher played this in class while we were working. It was in a clean playlist for some reason. I heard it, and was about to say something along the lines of “wait doesn’t this song have swears in it” when the chorus played. That was an interesting moment. Best math teacher I ever had though.

I discovered this song a few months ago during my exam period. It was my third year in computer science and a horrible one to say the least, I didn’t know what i was doing w my life nor why and have been struggling with anorexia for years after numerous attempts to recover, which obviously didn’t help at all. I kept listening to this song on repeat in particular, « I really fucked it up this time, didn’t I my dear » really summed up a lot of what I was feeling but the instruments right after gave me some kind of strength and hope. « Weep, little lion man you’re not as brave as you were at the start, rate yourself and rake yourself, take all the courage you have left ». I’ve been a accustomed to feel defeated and not mentally strong enough, but this woke up the part of me that has always been there to make me get out of bed on my worst possible days.
