That, plus the same idea in the scene before, and how in the beginning, the image is slightly tilting back and forth, and how everything looks like construction paper. This is fucking cool.
The funny thing is my mother cut sandwich things with cookie cutters to make fake lunchables I hated them cause they were fake and everyone else in the class was jealous and traded me
This is from a month ago but I totally understand - my mom used to pack me multigrain crackers, apple sauce & peanut butter as a little kid and my gymnast friend always swapped her lunch w me, which was a slice of American cheese, pop tarts, & like a yoohoo or somethn. She was super sick of garbage junk food and I thought American cheese was mind blowing lmaoo
Fraser Connell thin and floppy, just like how I loved it as a kid 😂😂 it’s technically made up of 51% cheese and the rest are emulsifiers to make it melt better (cause w real cheese u can get separation of the oils & congealing, so emulsifiers stabilize that). Similarly w cheese whiz (which I used to eat on Oreos....😅). Still a cheese freak now tho, making some mozzarella rn & my dream is to have an aging room or move somewhere to have a cheese/mushroom/aging charcuterie cave
HOLD ON. Upon completion of the video, I have realized the best bit of animation is at 3:24 where Griffin DEEPTHROATS A CRAKER STACK AND IT GOES THROUGH HIS BODY. I LOVE IT. THE UNHINGED JAW, THE ARM THAT DOES A 360, ITS ALL PERFECT. 10/10 would recommend this animation style again (if that’s something you’re able to do and enjoy)
I remember as a kid not being rich enough to have lunchables. like my family isn't poor, but we weren't;t rich enough for the shittiest packaged lunch ever
I like this other direction of animation VERY MUCH. Its the Galaxy Caramel of the beautiful Celebrations box that is the Mbmbam podcast. Strange chocolate based metaphors aside, this was YET ANOTHER amazing video. Yours are some of the best animatics. The way you seem to change and evolve, and we can see that through your videos, is spectacular. Love your work!
That was a very British chocolate analogy and I am HERE for it hahaha But also thanks that means a lot :) there a lot of talented folks on here making some amazing mbmbam videos that are such an inspiration to be so trying to be as good as them is my only goal :) And I’m probably going back to the style from my last video, this was just a fun creative jaunt :p
It's always cool to see you try out new animation styles; this looks really good! And like many others, I am now craving lunchables. At the age of 31. Good lord.
What an absolute delight this thing is, beginning to end. The construction paper look is so charming and whimsical, it's like watching a segment from an early '80s episode of Sesame Street, except people are saying "fuck" a lot.
I am 30, is it weird that I still regularly buy the occasional lunchable? It’s like when you crave McDonald’s, you know there are good burgers out there, but it’s not what you want.
uhhhhh homie? homie???? holy shit this animation! not only is it fucking adorable but the deep cuts with travis in the lunchroom are blowing my mind. god damn, dude. and the thing is: it's still so fucking funny! you animate these bits in new ways I absolutely never thought about, and give them life again: the deepthroating stacks of munchables, for instance lmao. you've become such a prolific animator, I'm proud as hell of you and stoked to see what comes next
Great animation, super comfy ♥️🤗 Thank you for including Justin's last little bit at the end too cause that's the one that really got me in the episode 😂😂
I feel like my grandma did this for me.... but like with Ritz and ham, but I don’t think she was doing it as “I’m not going to buy you lunchales, so have this.” I think she just thought I’d like that as a snack in my lunch 😂
I ate the turkey ones all the time. I occasionally still do, but man, the price of a lunchable has just *skyrocketed* over the last 20 years. Shit's crazy.
the tricky part is getting good juicy lunchmeat that is firm enough to be in small, discrete, stackable, ritz-sized discs. if you know a good deli maybe you can get something appropriate, but most other lunchmeat is thinner and much broader, intended to be layered in a sandwich with bread. this is the trouble. and it's a shame because crackers and cheese and meat is fucking delicious together, and despite being all the same ingredients, is somehow more special than a regular sandwich would be with those three items in their usual state.
Oh damn. This new style is fucking dope, my good buddy. It’s like Wes Anderson was half way through Fantastic Mister Fox and decided to pull the South Park boys over to finish up but to knock the edgy shit on the head.
