This was precious! I had a duck that adopted me from the lake at my work, they are very intelligent animals. I swear he could tell time & would be waiting on me every morning. On my off days he would go to the window where my desk was & tap on it looking for me. I had to start leaving instructions on feeding him his snacks. ☺
A mother duck chose the pond near my work to raise her little ones … So I would feed them cat food anytime I was fishing there. They eventually got accustomed to me and would come up waiting for dry food. The mother never fully trusted me though and wouldn’t come as near as the small guys, but she would eat as well , and seemed to understand I wasn’t a real threat. Loved feeding them until they were big enough to fly away. Was sad to see them go. 🥲

But here's the funny part, if you look, the water was always there. It was in the cup holder. I guess it's a spoiled Duck who likes being hand fed like a king or Queen Duck!

I love how Munckin could have just walked forward a bit and drink the ice water herself, but instead she just stood there and screamed at you to hold it out for her.
These animals are not playing anymore with us. They are "speaking" for what they want now. I don't remember them being so vocal when I was younger. I love it! 😊

If you could see what ducks drink from daily in the wild, you might not say that. We have put fresh water down, and they go to the dirty pool to drink. I guess the fresh didn’t have enough “flavoring”. 😂
@@plips71755 that still means they can tell the difference, it just means they likely prefer tap water cause of the extra minerals in areas with "hard water" lmaoo. Wild animals know whats up, theres a reason distilled water is bad for you, sometimes we can get a little TOO clean😂

Pure clean water is a privilege? Talk about brain washed. Pure clean water is the birth right of everything on earth. All the fresh water was pure and drinkable strait from just about any waterbody until humans started seeping waste into it. Just because humans have polluted the ruined the majority of the earth doesn’t make water a privilege. It means that humanity has no problem denying and destroying natural resources and then creating excuses to extort the ecosystem and other people for personal gain.
Quick little duck tip. The sort of wet ruffled feathers on Munchkin’s neck is believe it or not something called “wet feathering”. It’s not a big deal at all, basically what is happening is Munchkin is not distributing the oil from her gland enough on her neck. Easiest way for Munchkin to fix this is bathe in water more. It might take a bit for it to fully go away but it’s really not that big of a deal. Btw Munchkin is adorable.

Ducks are beautiful birds. They actually can get very attached to their owners as this shows. And certainly they express what they want. I have had ones that will come right up to the house and bang on the sliding door to get something they want lol. Love that little duck you have :)
i lived in a mobile home park with a pond in it. tons of ducks. we witnessed many male ducks...doing what they do with ONE female duck...they're cute, but also brutal in a certain way...full of expressions, right...and when dumb people feed them things they shouldn't, they poop EVERYWHERE...beautiful...
@@MalikJohnston-b3n Yes, when there are too many Drakes they can kill the females. The ratio for Mallards should be around 1 Drake to 7 > 9 Ducks, and for Muscovies, more than 30!
