Here is a review of my beginner (budget) bike and equipment setup for my 5 day ride on the Munda Biddi. This include my bike, Rockbros saddle bag, Rockbros frame bag, Rockbros handlebar bag, frame cages and other bits and pieces. This was my first ride on the Munda Biddi so I learnt a lot, but my 5 days was surprisingly trouble free. Is this setup ultralight? Not there yet, but that will require some investment.

Aww, now I know I can fix that front shocker from bottoming out when my dog is in the front basket! Great info, taa.

Wow, what a heavy load. This is the point where I would seriously consider a rear rack and large classic bike bags. Looks less cool but it would speed up packing and unpacking enormously 😉

Did my first bikepacking test run, and most definitely need to ditch my backbag and get more frame cages for water/camping related gear. Got some ideas out of your vid, thank you.

cross the long straps of the saddle bag through your saddle.. it will add stiffness. You could also put something rigid in your saddlebag, like tentpoles

Cheers mate - will give that a go. No tent poles yet but get the idea.

Hi, about saddlebag.. i have it..You have to push/ compress things harder inside the bag

Agree - I ended up pushing my sandals down the top of the bag to firm it up

I bought what they call a 5L frame bag. It’s actually 2.5L!

well well well, according to my calcs the 8L bag (the 40cm version) can only contain 4L (3.9L actually) - strange - frame-bag-gate ;-)

Your video helped me a lot to start bike packing. Is your set up like this for how many days of trip?

This one was for 5 days (I packed food for 4 days) and could have packed less.

Whisky is one thing I had to leave off my list when I did North-South last month :(
