Fractal Dual PCM and SEGA CD RF5C68 conversion of a Nintendo 64 track. First time working with a RAM limitation, crusty sample loops galore. Audio is emulated and captured from Furnace.
The SEGA CD part deals with the main melody while the Dual PCM part picks up the slack when there are no channels left or when the 64KB of RAM aren't enough (the "hahaha Ronaldinho Soccer" part wouldn't be here without it).
FM could have helped with the few missing instruments, but I feel this is good enough as is.
All samples extracted from the original track, trimmed and resampled to 22050Hz (except the "hahaha Ronaldinho Soccer", that is at 13750Hz for best Fractal quality). I tried 32kHz, but there's not enough RAM for all of it. Drum fill at the end was lifted from the original and baked in with the original voice sample.
Individual channel stems from the original were used to extract samples and to place notes by ear. The .wav files for the stems are available in this video's description: • Video
