Great performance but I am wondering if Ryan Cayabyab really allowed the solosits to make their parts "pop-like" which in my opinion is quite off. Thank you for sharing.
Arman John Jison I am pretty sure there had been multiple rehearsals with Mr. C. It is good to remember that Mr. C, although classically trained, also crosses over the popular music world.
Arman John Jison exemptions might be considered for songs performed in concerts. Also, this song has been one of the favorite show pieces, to avoid "comparison" artists are sometimes bound to "give" something different. In this case, only ACS can answer why. Still a beautiful rendition though.
@Arman John Jison @Marky Dorky, I also didn't much care for the pop-style runs by the soloists. But then again, my opinion is hardly objective, as I'm a La Sallian. :) But this I must say, I thought the chorus was wonderful, and I particularly liked the one-step sway at the end. Also, I thought the bass section was really on point entering own the downbeat in the layered "Gloria!" part at the end.
