This video documents steps I've taken to remove the steering wheel and the airbag and how I went about restoring the worn out leather using a vinyl paint.

The fact that yours is the only decent video on how to do this that I've found, I owe you a big thanks, man! If you're interested, a company named Loncky, makes oem fit wheel skins, that can fully replace the wheel cover to oem fit and finish. They do custom made skins too on their website and you can make your wheel really slick. I plan to pull mine off to install it, to make sewing it easier. Thanks again! 🤘😁

When replacing the security bolts, simply turn the steering wheel to that the openings are at the bottom when starting. If anything falls apart, it will just drop out the hole.

Good idea! Although with the battery disconnected and engine turned off I wonder if steering may lock. Good suggestion to try though.

Thanks for watching. Disconnect the battery first and let it sit for more than 10 minutes to drain the battery first to avoid accidental airbag discharge.

Nice Info; what should I do if I want to change the steering button? Because my steering button for Cruise Control (accel and coast - broken). Should I release the 19mm too?

Looking back at my old video, looks like you might be able to replace the control buttons without removing the steering wheel completely. You just need to remove the air bag. That said, it only one more bolt to remove the steering wheel, so either way it shouldn’t be huge difference. Let me know how it goes.
