no because just predicting the angle doesn't automatically mean somebody can't use it it could just take away some of the force behind the blows but here is an example of that not working is DNA vs Arsenal DNA predicted Arsenal's angles and even tried to rebuttal them before Ars first round even started but Ars still used a lot of the angles mentioned still hit hard and in a lot of people's mind still won though it is still a classic my point is pulling a 8 mile doesn't equal an automatic win

I wish this battle would have occurred back when Iron had originally called him out (2006 or 2007). Iron would have put up a much better performance than this. I never thought that Mook was top tier.
Iron did lose, but Mook didn't beat him, the crowd did. Mook was trash too this battle, it's not hard to go up there and spit racist shit in a predominantly all black crowd, if they battled somewhere, say like Idaho, in front of a predominantly white crowd, what you think would happen? If this battle was 3 rounds Mooks material could have been timeless. Just a lil bit too much filler. Solomon’s improvement since this battle is incredible though.
i don't see why the crowd had to be so damn disrespectful to Iron, watching this without reactions makes it easier to see that he was doing his thing, even if Mook was going a bit harder. If it was Iron spitting the Stevie Wonder line he would have been booed for sure. Iron kept his flow even in this biased ass environment,
Mook really had a bunch of wack bars in his rounds and most of his angles were trash. On top of that he was being mad corny talking through Solomon's rounds. Oh and that Treyvon thing in the 5th was sssooooo cringeworthy. Solomon should not have done the melodic/rhythmic flow. It took away from some good bars. But he had some wack angles too.He definitely shouldn't have conceded the battle at the end. Without the crowd this battle is way more debatable.

The worst part about this type of freestyle is that it's more like 'freeform' poetry. Like Mook's verse is so hard to put a beat to because he doesn't keep the same tempo. And Solomon is rhyming so fast, there's almost no inflection or delivery. I don't know about other battle rappers but I used to flow with a beat in my head so I could put that feeling across to the crowd. Maybe it's just me.

This battle is way closer than its remembered without the gas, and people forget that even tho they against him now, the Gas Station was created by Mook. That said, Mook is a god at painting narratives and he had the perfect way to destroy Iron and it clearly worked, just like it did against Lux and Roc. Yet he didn't do that to Verb until the 3rd, and whaddya know? Thats the first loss he took.
@malwd6321 idk the Verb battle is debatable, but I will say Mook could've split his 3rd into 3 parts, mixed in the best from 1 and 2, and he'd have done to Verb what he did to Roc. Agree about Iron. Pen has always been God tier, but the whole era from like E Ness to his first few battles when he returned, that sing-song shit was garbage.
Being smack felt like they needed to turn up mooks Mike way louder than Solomon's, and the facts that the crowd would shut up when Solomon was trying to wrap, Solomon gets this one by default, even though they both sucked pretty bad.

From what I've seen from both MC's today (if they done a rematch) I'll put my money on Iron. Mook is the same today from when this aired but iron has leaped defo from this battle.
