Catherine zeta jones was not in Deadpool. Deadpool had Morena Baccarin who is probably best known for playing a companion in the short lived tv series firefly and it’s wrap up movie called serenity.

Idk if you noticed (you prob did but just saying) but the dorm mother-esque character with the red hair is played by Christina Ricci who played 90s Wednesday! So I feel like them both being outcasts and her saying “you can talk to me” is kind of showing like a kindred connection between the Wednesdays in a sense lol. Loved the reaction and def hope you continue!

Plot wise, the series was kind of like Nancy Drew if Nancy were Wednesday Addams. Still very good, but that was the vibe I got. The cast was fantastic and Jenna did an amazing job as Wednesday. Looking forward to more!

You really should watch the two seasons of the original 60s series. My daughter was familiar with the 90s movies and made a reference to something about The Addams Family to me. I was curious because I didn't know what she was talking about since my only reference at the time was the original TV series. So, I talked her into binging the 60s show and she loved it. I think in many ways it is actually better, although I think Wednesday is better in the new series and there are some aspects that better relate to the comics by Charles Addams upon which everything is based.

I grew up on all the Addams family series and movies and I enjoyed this take on it with focus on Wednesday. Ppl gave Guzman so much flack before watching the series but I absolutely love his take on Gomez. I didn’t care much for the love interests. Their acting was subpar. Eager for season two. But with Netflix you never know. Winx was number one and canceled, selling Tampa as well, and countless others

The acting, direction, production, costume, and etc was marvelous so the story they wanted to tell. The only thing I couldn’t get was that monster.

I definitely support Wednesday getting a girlfriend, but wednesday and enid had no chemistry. Maybe its the character or actresses themselves but I felt zero romantic chemistry.

Also a correction I’m sorry it bugged me and I had to say something, Catherine zeta jones was not from dead pool she was in the movie the mask of zoro and the legend of zoro with Antonio banderas , Chicago the movie, oceans 12 the original movie , the terminal movie with Tom hanks, she was also in dads army a British humour Tv show comedy show and so many others but she was not in dead pool I believe the actress your thinking off that was in deadpool is called Morena Baccarin who also played in the hit series gotham x

I watched this entire series the first day it was out. I absolutely love it. Jenna Ortega is amazing.

One thing you should know about this School: there are only four types of mythological creatures, as Enid explained at the beginning, being werewolves, gorgons, sirens or vampires, but not all students are part of these groups, most are actually just people who were born with some kind of paranormal power, the school as a whole was made for people who possess some non-human characteristic or capability, regardless of what it is For exemple: Wednesday have visions, that kid that died in the first episode got telekinesis, Xavier can bring anything he draw to life, the principal is a shapeshifter

The 1938 on the end of the phone number to call Wednesday is the year the first Addams Family comic strip was published.

This show reminded me at first of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, especially after the first episode. Definitely different as the show goes on but I immediately felt the Sabrina vibes at first with the supernatural school and mystery plot.

Wednesday is one of my favorite characters, period. She doesn't need no man or woman. She's fine without the romance. And if I have to pick between Tyler or Xavier, then I pick Tyler.

In the 80s and 90s, we talked in a Valley accent, like ya know, gag me. Seems like the new generation, took their cue from RuPaul's drag race. It's giving eye roll for this Gen Xer.

It makes me sad that people seem to think that The Addams Family only started with the Burton movies. They were great, but they were a love letter to the original television series, which was where I first realized Wednesday was a really cool character. TAF were goth before there was a (modern) goth movement. This series is so fun, and I love it a lot (please let there be many more seasons!), and I hope it leads more people down the AF rabbit hole, because it is so much fun! p.s. - yes, I am old. :)

Given what kind of stuff gets introduced in the story this show coming out around Thanksgiving is perfect timing.

Not a big Adams Family fan but this series was really good

Honestly the show is great but they really just gave us a better improved “Legacies” and “Chilling adventures of Sabrina” the show is good but we all know this should’ve blown “stranger things” and “You” out of the water and engulf it in a tsunami . The show is lacking In being Horrifying /dark and dark humor. Just feels like a PG13 appeasement for the audience who might be old fans, yet attracting preTeens. They don’t try too much that’s new and interesting. I just really hoped the show had more magic and better CGI. They say Nevermore is a magical place but it’s just a place with secrets while the students are the only source of magic. And let’s be honest the plot is ok, not amazing as we thought it would be (feels like Netflix’s Fear Street with Sabrina). I feel like what they did was take old tropes and introduced them in funny clever ways. Also anyone realize the love triangle feels like Twilight, a little pale girl indecisive in who she wants. Still a really good show, just hope it was more Witty Gore psychological Horror, with a tad of dark humor. I feel like this could’ve been Netflix’s Harry Potter since they were willing to go as far as have school games like the POE cup, but maybe season 1 is to just test the waters before they see what we want from it, hopefully.
