Chief still has his family and he always will. He just keeps them off the show. It may have caused him his marriage but marriages fail 80% of the time regardless of if you’re a racer or not. Sometimes people fall out of love but if you follow them both on RU-vid it seems like they are both doing well and like they are both happy and satisfied with their lives. That’s really all that matters too. I’ve never heard anyone call Chief a bad father or anything even close to that. He just keeps them private and honestly I don’t blame him because I’d hide my personal life and kids from the show with them being so young too.

Drama puts people in the seats. If they didn't mindlessly rant to keep their paycheck coming in and the producers happy, then I doubt a few would still be there. If Shawn wasn't respected, then where the would the show be if he was just there on his current racing merit??

That just shows respect for that person and you know you have to be on your game to beat them.
