I think it helps that the surveillands are creeping up in value and karlov, unlike other sets, has all 10 of them in the set, and not just 5 allied OR 5 enemy colored duals. I think it's reasonable to get around 5 surveil lands out of every box. maybe one list hit (I got a special guest underworld breach) and together with a lot of valuable commons/uncommons, it's difficult now to be completely blown out if you're getting a play booster box for around 90 bucks (in europe).

Absolutely… The lands are definitely the strongest part of the set. So little of the product is being opened that it’s holding the land value up. I think 5 lands per box is probably about right. I like the set more than most but admittedly, having like 80% of the Mythics be a whiff value wise does hurt. Yeah, you’re probably going to come out of an opening with $20-$30 in lands which gives a decent floor but aside from a few key Mythics and other Rares it’s pretty tough.

Nice! It’s been interesting to see the prices on the set plummet. The lands provide a pretty good floor for the openings. I wish the Mythic pool was a little stronger. But between some Commons and Uncommons there is decent hidden value in the set.

Openings like this is gonna make people run out and get MKM! Okay, maybe not. Much like VOW there is some good lands and some valuable cards in this set but people just don't seem to care. Gonna be interesting to see how time treats this set.

It’s funny because I don’t think MKM is as bad as most people do but I can’t deny that this is one of the best versions on an MKM box and while it was good, OTJ still manages to blow it out of the water.
