Chingy called it. He said Ali always wanted Nelly position and Ali was jealous of Chingy going 3x Platinum too. It came to the light during the pandemic. He didn't lie
I feel Murph. Its bigger than entertainment. These Brothers have children and families that all depend on each other. Its about community, love, forgiveness, and perseverance. Murph is a mature Brother and I wish him and the Lunatics well.
Nelly already said why the group broke up.. Ali is the reason because he thought he was bigger than the whole group and had everybody in fucked up contracts
I thought Nelly was very clear about what he said and it was all in response to Ali. I think Murph respects Ali so much that he can't hold him accountable. He's the only one who jumped out with accusations and old grievances. Nelly simply defended himself and told his side of the story.
Daym im a Fan of Murphy all over again . Thats how grown men suppose to talk . Best interview on VLAD TV i ever seen 🤞🏿Hope you guys get back together to bring us some more good music 🙏🏾 We rooting for the come back 💪🏿
If they have not already, Nelly, City, Ali, and Kejuan need to listen to this. Murphy Lee is speaking from his heart. Even if the group never gets back together, they need to get their friendship back. Friendship and brotherhood are essential for the soul. One of St. Louis's finest. Salute king for your wisdom and knowledge.
This was some real shit and it takes a real man to say what he just said. No ego involved , no pride or anything just 100% facts!!!! Murph Dirt for STL Mayor 👌🏿💯
He hit the nail on the head, the problem is Nelly sells started to decline and didn't know how to tell his crew that he needed to down size a lot of his expenses. I was in a group before and one thing that I seen was once we went from recording and coming up with dope material just for the love of it to becoming a bussiness and having to record for a mission to come up with songs at industry standards aimed at top positions on the charts.I also noticed that each member in the group had a sub crew too, pushing for each individual group member. So we went from four friends with a common intrest to having an entourage so big that confusion caused the group to collapse.
What it comes down to is Ali thinks Nelly should still be spoon feeding him to this day. I saw both interviews and Ali comes off as jealous that Nelly became the big superstar and not him.
Man! I’m this man’s work period. We have to support this dude. I myself feel like have to do more than leave a positive comment. Oh! This is top 5 of interviews that Vlad has put out. I hope it ages well and he speaks it into existence.
And he’s right. Most (I won’t say all) are coming to see Nelly not them. More than likely the contracts to the shows say Nelly and even though they just asking for Nelly he still brings his boys along and pays them from his cut. He’s losing money with them around and after awhile that’s just not smart business.
@@TheBoyyWonder100 I said this before on another post about this. If Ali is the hit making song writer star maker then why didn't he just take his talents elsewhere and either make himself a star or snatch up some random 15 year old and write him some more hits? The answer is because Nelly was the star and Nelly continued writing his own hit records after Ali while Ali sat around crying. You can believe who you want to believe or you can use your own eyes and see what happened
@@thomaschatman3743you said what matters. Ali put it together true but Nelly was and is the face. Harsh reality the consumers and businesses only care about the FACE. Nobody want a suga slim an baby concert but Wayne could sure as hell still tour if he wanted to. It just is what it is. Ali is wrong.
I've met Murphy Lee and his brother Kyjaun a few times. they are both very humble good dudes. they never tried flexin on anyone that I ever saw. this was a great interview. Good luck to this brother in all his future ventures.
He right about music being flooded. I can remember buying Free City in the Summer of 2001 and consistently listening to it nonstop well into the winter of 2001. Hell I still put it on every few months now.
I really respect this man for being so transparent and understanding. There are so many people who instantly hate or blame others off the top but this man right here is the voice of reason and I commend this brother 😎🙏.
Everything he said made perfect sense. He seems sensible, agreeable and fair in all parts. I believe everything he said and wish him nothing but success.
Damn one of the realest clips on this channel. For an artist to hear a group member’s gripes and not get defensive but actually empathize and understand where they’re coming from, I don’t think i’ve ever heard that. Lol takes a lot of self-awareness and egoless reflection to admit. Enjoyed this interview 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I am glad Murphy Lee was able to get that off of his chest. It was heartfelt message and genuine. hopefully Ali and Nelly get to see it and acknowledge his plea to communicate better together as black men and group members údò
I totally understand Murphy Lee point of view.. but Nelly hit it on the nail. Ali interview proved nelly Point especially with him. Ali was all over the place and you can tell it was jealousy that he feels Nelly career should be his. Ali in my opinion is the source of the problem! His behavior over the years shows his bitter about Nelly career. But Nelly in his interview said Murphy Lee went out and did his thing without him. The problem was the fans and industry can’t separate Nelly and the st lunatics, because Nelly was the star. But you can tell by Nelly actions he wanted the whole team to win. If you listen to Ali interview you can see why Nelly feels the way he feels.
When Murph said it's cool for homies to have disagreements or even flat out arguments and still remain homies, find a solution, and get pass that shit I feel him 100%. That was always the problem with my crew. Either we tip-toed around shit or we went too hard. We never found that middle ground. The tip-toeing brought about resentment that lead to the major blowups about small shit.
Sometimes, there's nothing to talk about... It always come down to one thing: "INTENTION" Some People will just wrong you, cause they feel like they can, they know they will do it, and you'll forgive them. They know it, before they even make a move.
I'm glad each member could stand alone and had solo careers. Something that stood out to me is Murphy and Kyjuan left to do shows without the tics during their decline, but could Nelly do shows without the lunatics without there being a problem? I can see why Nelly would feel like they are a liability, they treated him like an employer when the money was good. Nelly carried the cost of running the show and they could come an go as they pleased. When did the group ever run a show and employee Nelly as a guest feature.
I disagree on your last point. When it comes to the tics, they are all employees of their own respective ways. It wasn't like St Lunatics feat Nelly or sort. With all said, the group only had one album. The rest was just Nelly feat St Lunatics or Murphy Lee feat St Lunatics. But overall I get your point though
That was kind of my point it could never be St. Lunatics ft Nelly. Nelly could never do a solo tour without the group because the other members would feel salty and talkin down on him. Murphy said he did his own shows. He could have let Nelly get some show money without the burden of the business of producing a show.
Communication without people feeling attacked is crucial. It’s true, we struggle with that. There’s a way to solve issues through speech instead of with violence. It require humbleness and listening to understand, instead of listening to respond.
