I've watched plenty of videos about the mighty Murray River as I've been planning to do the trip myself in my 4.2m tinny. You did a great job with this video, its actually the best video I've seen about the Murray River.
Hi mate, thank you for the kind words. It was a lot of work and I did a lot of research so I appreciate you noticing. You should defiantly do your trip. You will love it :)
I've covered 2250 km, from the top of Lake Hume to the mouth, in a cruiser with shallower draft than yours. Lots of kayaks and tinnies have started at Bringenbrong, and many have their journey up on youtube. Just a few Olympic-standard whitewater kayakers have started at Tom Groggin.
Along video i thought I'll wach it in stages nope i was hooked and kept going loved it your done a great job making this video thank you and something your never going to forget on that big adventure 💯👍👍
Hi dave, thank you very much for the nice comment. Yes it was an amazing trip. At the time I could have turned around and done it again in the reverse order. Thats how much I enjoyed the scenery. Thanks again.
Great documentary Bill. Very inspiring. I have bought an old houseboat, which I am renovating. Then the exploration begins. Should have done this years ago.
Hi Glenn, Thank you very much for the nice message and watching. Definitely do the trip. it is beautiful. It will be amazing on your house boat when you get it done. :) Have a great day, and keep in touch when you go on your adventure.
G’day Bill, what a great trip you must have had. Thanks for all the information about the different buildings, properties and areas along the Murray River. I’m thinking of spending a month or two or maybe three on my boat, on the river and just taking my time, probably going to Swan Hill and back to Echuca. Thanks for the video.
Hi David, thanks very much for the kind words and for watching. It is so beautiful and you should defiantly do the trip. Every corner and bend is just amazing. I'm sure you will love it. Please let me know when you do and post some photos. What sort of boat would you be going in?
@@bill-gray Hi Bill, you’re very welcome. I’m sure the scenery is beautiful and yes I will definitely be doing the trip. Yes I will let you know when I go. I mite even consider going to Mildura and back to Echuca. I’ll be in a Swift Craft Sportsman ( 23 foot half cabin fibre glass early 80’s boat ) with a Mercury 225hp Optimax ( oil injected 2 stroke ) and I’m about to purchase a Mercury 15hp 4 stroke to do most of the cruising, instead of putting unnecessary hours on the big motor.
You have done a great job and should be proud of your achievment I enjoyed all of it I recently did 37 days down the river , no one really can fully get it till they do it
Hi Danny, thank you very much for watching and the nice comment. I really appreciate it. You are very correct, you cant really imagine in until you do it. Your 37 days would have being amazing. What sort of boat did you use for your trip?
@@benrobertson2277 Hi, that would be a great trip. Well done. It all depends on how fast you go, and how much you stop. But The whole trip took us 6 weeks if that is any help at all. Thanks for watching and the great question. :)
