Kimi would have won the 2008 championship had ferrari not wanted him out of the team with the Spanish bank. Then you add him the McLaren championships he deserved in 2003 and 2005. So in turn Kimi would be a 4 time champion, deserved those ones atleast.
@@roadrunner2757 kimi wasn't racing in 1998 and 1999. Kimi should have won in 2003 and 2005. Mika Hakkinen, should have won in 2000 his engine failure at Indy cost him the championship
Shrey SJ ¿Are you pulling our leg, right? ...he can not complain at all ...he enjoyed the best intergalactic spaceship ever to race at Formula 1. He was F1 champion driving the best cars and that was all... meaning, he got his hands on the best cars.. not the second or thir best car of thr grille, only the best car; once he moved to Mecedes, a shitty car, when he drove it, then he disappeared from the headlines. While driving for Ferrari he enjoyed more than a 100 races without a single malfunction. His car didn't broke from Magny Course 2000 to Susuka 2005.... he enjoyed an astonishing amount of races without suffering mechanical problems. A testament to the best team, engineers, aerodynamists, race directors, technical team ever to put at the service for a single driver (Schumi), not to mention co-drivers who where force to drive the car with setups designed solely for Schumachers driving style. So, how come he will be upset with his team if he enjoyed and benefited from the best car and team that any driver had in the history of F1??
You definetely didn't watch Schumy from early of his years. Benetton was faaaar away from the best car on the grid on 90's, especially on 91-93, 95. 94 is arguably, but i still put it below Williams, although the margin is more thight. But his trait is the same, not complaining to the team and thank them for they effort even from the very early of his years. 96 Ferrari is disaster car, but he didn't complain and whine, and still manage to won 3 race on his very first year on Ferrari. Look at what Prost say in 91Ferrari when the car is crap! This is one trait of him that make the whole crew gladly support and work with him, so why can't he enjoy it when the car is succes by being the best car on 2002-2004?. He has every right to enjoy the benefit from that. 2nd driver always have to prove himself if they want to get the car build around them, they have to EARN IT and beat no.1 driver. Of course it's always build around first driver. If your team owner/manager, where would you put your bet? Schumy is not exception to that, in his early years on Jordan and Benetton. He manage to beat his teamate and replacement 'DeCesaris' on Jordan, and beat regurlaly 'Nelson Piquet', a 3 times World Champion (although he's near end of his career, Piquet is still no slouch back then). HE EARN IT!
Wow.. I can't even listen to him let alone look at him without feeling utterly shattered & heartbroken (and weepy)...love of my life :( miss him..I think of you everyday Michael, pls get well soon - there are millions of Schumacher fans praying for you.
Michael is soo down to earth and seames as a very Normal Person in that respect. And of course he still haven`t lost any of his great skills as a Racing Driver!!! A Great Man, i miss him soo much out on the Track in F1
MSC is the greatest F1 driver ever....and a great person, I miss him on the grid, although I stopped watching F1 after 2008 because F1 tore the heart out of the cars, but did watch when he came back, then stopped watching after he retired again...F1 is terrible these days....no power, no speed, no downforce, terrible tires that do not allow a driver to drive an all out stint with the tires shredding apart..the prestige and mystique are gone from F1....the WEC has it now...
Sad they are both no longer with us…..Michael is obviously still alive but it’s unlikely we’ll see him as lucid as we do here, end of an era in F1 for sure!
Micheal Schumacher is the king of motorsport he’s the best of the best the king of kings he’s one of very few drivers who could jump into an inferior car and win a race by a massive margin but most importantly he’s the only driver who could get into an inferior and win more than 1 world title and that’s exactly what he did Micheal won 5 out of his 7 world titles in inferior cars 1994-1995-2000-2001 and 2003 and if he stayed in 2007-2008 he would have won 2 more world titles
Schumacher is also my favorite driver, but let's stay realistic here: Ferrari in 2001 was definately not inferior. By raw speed it was actually the fastest, though not as dominant as in 2002 and 2004.
He could also have possibly won in 1997 and 2006 There is a train of thought that Jacques was never going to make the corner so if Michael hadn't knocked into him, he could have gone into the gravel trap instead In 2006, he finished in the top six despite starting at the back of the grid. Had he not parked at Rascasse he could have qualified maybe 2nd or 3rd. He still could have won from those grid positions. And what would have happened then. It isn't much of a reach to believe that the momentum could have swung back to him and not Fernando So his 'win at all costs' mentality actually potentially cost him two WDC's
Heartbreaking. What a man. Not his biggest fan at times when he raced in F1. His humility after achievements was touching. How prophetic that he invested in ICM at that time. Stay strong Michael. Always in our prayers.
This interview breaks my heart...it reminds me of that Senna's interview where he talks about life after racing. I hope Michael recovers from this tragic incident, we miss him...
Poor Michael... Makes it through all that F1 madness and gets taken out in a freak skiing accident... I hope he somehow recovers someday, even if just partially. I had a friend from high school who died in a random skiing accident : (
@blackvapour are you actually saying he cheated to win ....91 grand prix, 7 world championship, 68 pole positions, 76 fastest laps, most wins in a season.... the list goes on im not disputing the "whos better senna or Schumacher" before anybody says anything but to call Schumacher a cheater after everything he's achieved is stupid
When people slate Schumacher for his mistakes, taking out Hill in 94, attempting to take out Hakkinen, stopping his car at Monaco intentionally, I genuinely don't think is and out and out cheat, he simply has a will to win which occasionally goes too far. Senna had the same will to win in which he occasionally overstepped the mark (Japan 1990?) and if you look further afield to the world of football you see Zizou and his headbutt. Great player, occasionally overstepped the mark.
Schu is a gent and a liveing legend we wont see the likes for a long long time, and senna was 2, instead of argueing we should be happy that we have seein the best 2 drivers in the world ever in our lifetime a 7 seven times world champion in formula 1 is no joke, or maybe, and you can say its the car but the drivers are the most importand when it comes to makeing the car, its build around them.
i do think its a bit silly to say he crashed on purpose, or stopped on purpose, he could not know the outcome of his actions, so i dont think he would do that, i also think that we need more like shumi to over step the mark, yes to wake things up, its boring without it, its a mans race not a knitting compo, shumacher was brill to watch, and he was clever to, and we are still talking about him yrs after the race, he won his championships coz he was that good, sorted the men from the boys
It's an art, to be worth that the team works for you 100%... That's what the most are not capable of doing... nobody is gonna work with all his strenghts for somebody who's not worth it...
I don´t agree. Montoya was a quite tough guy and a great driver. Hamilton is a very good driver. Senna was a very fast driver. Prost trying to be slow was also a very fast driver. But Schumacher is the best of all of them, is the best of history, since as a rookie, he managed to beat Senna in an inferior car. Moreover Schumacher team mates in Beneton did nothing while in Mclaren Senna´s team mates like Berger or Hakkinen were very good in 1992 and 1993
I would disagree. Senna made very similar moves to some that Schumi did, but I feel is seen as a bit of a martyr, a John Lennon-style figure. Alonso - Hungary 2007 is a good example of how he bent the rules to as good effect as Schumacher and Senna. Montoya was never as consistently strong in a race as Schumacher, Senna, Hakkenin, Lauda etc. I think Schumacher comes across as a very down-to-earth person, not only here but elsewhere, too. Just what I feel, mind.
I hated him when he was racing because i was a Damon fan, Missed him when he left and became a fan when he came back.....................I need a head shrink!
Such a shame that even though he's not in F1 that he can't drive other make's of car's. Would love to see him try a touring car and have pop at Le Mans.
michael schumacher=legand, no other way to put it. people who think lewis hamilton is great are idiots, this man is the greatest, the only one who is near him is senna
@gnark1ll1us There was a time where the commentators from your own country would then "change over" to BBC's commentary. I think that's why - and of course that a lot of F1 fans are brits!
In 1994 there was 1 point between him and Damon Hill going into the last race, during the race Schumi hit Hill taking them both out of the race. There was alot of speculation that he did it delibrately. Then in 1997 it was the same situation with him and Jacques Villeneuve, he tried it again and put only himself out. It was clearly delibrate and he was disqualified from that years championship as a result.
Nothing wrong at all with making money off a truely great talent no matter in waht walk of life or profession. All I said is is that its a shame the we don't see him in other makes of cars due to his Ferrari contract. I'm sure other company's are lining up to offer him a test or a drive of another racing series/formula.
na Juan Manuel Fangio was a better driver than schumacher, and for every1 who thinks lewis is shit, he is world champ and dont judge him as he is just starting his f1 career, judge him when he has finished his career, even schumacher thinks he is one of the best talents in the last 30 years
Don't listen everyone who said Schumi cheated, try to observe his first career until his full retirement. Then, you will understand he didnot cheat. Try to compare what he did , to champion before him, you will find that every legends did same ways. What i'm aware is that every true champions have higher ego, they do want to be prioritize by their team.
@Ferrari123planb fact is senna influenced his style of driving heavily look at their telemetry and you will see that there is a huge simularity. senna had the worst handling f1 car in history in his last races and still put it on pole. the only reason why shumi is better is he lived longer and dominated with ferrari and i for one would love to see him win again so shhhh
yes you're richt, and when a really good driver like Alonso stood up (considering being mature enough)and fought schumacher for the championship, schumi lost. he was great, but not greater than Senna and others
Right, that's why Damon Hill won the championship back then. It did not have anything to do with the Williams being the superior car. Still I'll compare Hamilton with Senna and Schumi if he wins 2-3 more championships and passes people left and right on wet circuits. Hamilton is a champion, Senna and Schumacher are legends. Shit....I've compared them anyways.......
