I don't understand why people going to Murree in this bad weather conditions people know that in Pakistan there is no facilities like European countries they r going there families in this cold weather then they stuck up they blame to administration everyone should understand knowing Abt weather and roads they r taking risk of live I myself living in Islamabad but not going to Murree in this weather I know what type of problems I will face

Pakistan needs gov or private companies to plow snow and throw salt on the way which makes the road better anyways the most important thing are tires get winter tires before going there and please don't drive your RWD cars in these conditions you become a hazard to every other person on the road. The vehicle needs to be either FWD or 4x4 or AWD for these conditions, and if you lose control never smash your brakes as it locks your brakes, try to take control like drifting and to avoid it try to drive on low gears so you dont have to brake every few minutes on ice which can be deadly. stay safe!

Seriously, at least invest in some winter tires if you intend on visiting the northern area's. If not, how hard is it to get some snow chains? 10-15k for a set of snow chains is still cheaper than spending a couple of 100k's to fix your damaged car, or someone else's car you smack in to or even your own lives for that matter. Black ice and summer tires (in most cases, bald without any thread) don't go well

Saftey tips must to do / keep things if u r going any where u can find snow or icy conditions, 1 use winter tyres 2 keep winter chains or traction strips where winter tyres fails 3 keep some packed high energy food like chocolates or nuts in case u r stuck alone or in a jam for hours to reach help, 4 keep extra warm clothes / blankets etc for warming up and turn off yr engine and open all widows a little bit, (If u r stuck in trafic and engines r running idol for long very near surrounding then u r in danger tell them to stop there engines) 5 until help arrives walk on road upto 2 or 3 km or as u can do in low tempratures easily to find any better sheltor like a home or hetel or check post or u can find traffic or help from other side where people r stuck (Dont leave road for unkonwn shortcuts in these conditions)
