Yes! Too many of us don’t do this and we should! It can help more people to realize there might be an underlying issue that hasn’t been recognized yet.
@@theTMJdoc i have a severe problem of TMJ / TMD and yesterday i went to my maxillofacial surgeon and he put his finger in mouth exactly the place you showed in this video and since then it is so damn painful that i just chew my food and i don't know what i should do to stop it the pain and my surgeon had told me that i need a total joint replacement surgery but i want to know that does the joints pain even after joint replacement surgery too. lots of love from india mumbai.
Hi there! I treat with neuromuscular orthotics, TENS, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy. This will usually take care of the trigger point :)
I also want to ask you how do you treat the TMJ dislocation Should it be referred to the specialist or a general dentist can intervene in case the patient comes in emergency
This is a difficult condition to treat. We treat this with orthotics, myofascial release, and osteopathic manual jaw manipulation and even then it takes 4-6 months with weekly or biweekly appointments for best results. I would recommend seeing an experienced TMJ Dentist.
Thank you so much mam, got a lot of practical information for diagnosis in my practice. I want to buy grey scale which one you have shown in this video. Pls favour me. best regards
@@drvijaykumardentalhospital4186 the Range of Motion scale? I get it through this website: www.greatlakesdentaltech.com/therabite-range-of-motion-scales-100-pkg_255-009.html
aloha- I am an SLP getting certified in orofacial myology- What would be your red flags if they are rating a 2-3 anywhere? or just certain spots? I'm excited to go through your videos as I am going to look more into the symptoms etc as I have been having some issues myself and my lateral movements are below 10mm (about 5-7mm)-- do you recommend any videos to view first? Mahalo for your channel!!
Hello mam.Video is great.I have severe jaw pain at TMJ for past one year.Aggrevate during eating.Severe temporal and occipital pain bilaterally. Is the head pain is due to TMJ?.
It could be due to TMJD but I cannot make a diagnosis over the internet. An MRI would be a good scan to get because it can rule out other things that could cause the pain.
why i have clicking jaw even i have normal range of motion? in just only certain words only i wonder when it comes from ear or neck bcuz my scm a bit shortening but my chiro working on it and everytime he adjust my neck it loosen.
Clicking and normal range of motion is something I see often. The clicking doesn't necessarily affect the range of motion and means that the articular disc is out of alignment.
