@joeyisash1 thank you for the kind words we appreciate it. Lactose intolerance is reversible as it is the job of good bacteria in your gut to break down lactose. Therefore you could get on a good probiotic to help with that. Now in addition to that you may want to go back to True Mass since there may be something else in the MetRX product causing an issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions, hope this helps.
@ediot6969 well from a former Marine you do have to eat good calories as well and being healthy matters (some get away w/ more due to genetics and would be even better off if they did things right). We agree in the sense that some supplements are not needed however there are some good supplements that are ergogenic. Thank you for watching.
@ruin3r yes we have heard it is hydrolyzed collagen and gelatin (not sure). It would not make economic sense (based on the cost) to the tender loins or anything like that.
@HiGhAsRaSs good question, since it is not specified we really don't know if it's collagen, lean muscle, or plasma protein so it is open to speculation.
@sleepyredbull we have a video on the effects of alcohol on building muscle which may be helpful as the occasional drink is OK. Now limiting these bad habits and replacing them with good ones will make you feel better in short order. Now in terms of getting you going before you train stims are commonly used as in those found in many pre-workouts. Hope this helps.
@musclectavio17 got it, we agree there are a lot of supplements that simply do not work and are promoted by hyperbolic marketing. There are also some good supplements, we apply empirical evidence to determine the good from the bad. Thank you for watching.
you can add carbs to your protein powder via powder or whole food. Also you can simply just take a weight gainer which has carbs already added to your protein. Hope this helps.
I've been shaking this protein product for months and absolutely love the chocolate and chocolate peanut butter flavors. I'm allergic to dairy and gluten and I don't eat red meat. I calculated my micros and it fits in perfectly with my lifestyle. I've noticed way more gains and muscle tone; gained about 10lbs lean muscle and lost 6% body fat. I recover insanely fast but I also mix a flavorless BCAA supplement with it just to get a variety of Amino acid profile. It's not for everyone, but with my allergies this shake is like my dessert. I mix it with water and occasionally almond milk for a thicker, dessert like shake.
With creatine you don't have to load it, loading speeds up saturation so you can do so to start realizing the benefits sooner (15-20g per day for the first 3-5 days). That being said it is not essential, shoot for ~.05g/kg or 0.025g/lb (~5g/day for most) of body weight for your daily dose. You can mix it in water. Hope this helps.
Yes, supplements are for just that purpose, to supplement what you can't get in your diet. A variety of protein sources is always a good thing. Hope this helps.
+Aaron Bass When you take it is not as important as how much you take to reach your goals. We have a couple vids that you may find helpful on the topic. Also you do not need to take Secret Sauce. Macronutrients Calculator: Intake for Weight Loss or Gain Pre-Workout Nutrition (What to Eat and When)
@erikmunoz55 sorry for the delayed reply. It is a common emulsifier and more and more companies are using safflower or sunflower oil as the source. They do not indicate it is from soy which is required so you should be OK. Hope this helps.
If you buy a high quality whey protein isolate the lactose is filtered out so you have that as an alternative if lactose is the issue. Also you can use an egg or plant based powder. Creatine is perfectly safe, however if you want to avoid it the amount in this is significant so I would consider an alternative. Hope this helps.
could you define the process of hydrolyzed beef protein isolate? like a detailed description about how it is created would help fully comprehend the product.
@Tubs6613 not sure what your question is, are you asking if creatine is bad for your kidneys? If so no it's fine, many people confuse the fact that creatinine (by product of creatine) is used as a marker for kidney function. The real test is if plasma levels are elevated, is there an equivalent (relative to what is expected) in the urine. If you do not have pre-existing kidney problem than you will be fine.
@ruin3r there are some other lactose free powders, most whey protein isolates are virtually lactose free, especially CFM whey isolates such as Allmax Isoflex. Egg and many vegetarian protein powders are also lactose free.
it's a source of MCTs, most dairy allergies are usaully caused by casein which we assume was removed that being said we are not sure since they do not disclose this. Hope this helps.
@TerminusPro not sure that would be responsible for the itching since the Beta form of alanine is responsible for increasing carnosine levels and subsequently parasthesia. Hope this helps.
It looks like a good blended protein powder, however the addition of a free form amino blend is not something I am a fan of as it is a way to cheaply increase the label protein content. Hope this helps.
hey guys i just stumbled onto this video and im glad i did. your videos are awesome and very informative for someone like me who dosent have much info on supplements. since you guys know alot i recently purchased metrx extreme size up and when i would drink it id be fine but later on in the day i would have a small case of dirreah so im guessing im lactose intolerent which is werid because i took bsn true mass about 3 years ago and i was fine but what lactose free weight gainer do you reccomend?
thanks for the reply ... I see that they also sell fruit punch and raspberry. The chocolate is the only one that has milk in it tho. and many ppl said to stay clear of blue raspberry. Also they all have a notice on the label advising that they foam a lot when mixing.
Hi I have had stomach issues in the past recent months (infection called colitis). Now after the treatment I am allergic to wheat and wheat products. If I take the supplement, will it have any adverse effect on my stomach.
In this particular product it is a source of MCTs so there is not any lactose. If you need help finding a lactose free product let me know. Hope this helps.
with creatine you do not necessarily have to cycle off of it, we do recommend doing so for the mental edge but give yourself at least 12 weeks on it. Not sure how much creatine is in it. Hope this helps.
You can buy pure creatine monohydrate for cheap and add it separate. As for one singular protein powder there is not one answer. Generally a protein that includes whey and casein will be best or just a whey protein. Also assuming you are getting good protein in foods as well. Hope this helps.
I happen to be a rare breed that is allergic to whey. Terrible and true, but Carnivore has been great for me. No bubble-gut, or trying to contain myself on leg days. Very pleased with the product and happy it came around after many years of small doses of whey and casein.
@RSessoms1589 thank you for the kind words and support we appreciate it. We have a review up on Neurocore (if you go to our RU-vid homepage and search "Neurocore" you will see it). Feel free to send us a PM if you have ?s on Combat powder.
he's training for MMA so much of it is technique etc... With the many disciplines being trained you need to train for longer, it's different than classic BB training. Thank you for watching.
Hi, does Beef Protein cause acne like Whey Protein does? I can't take Whey Protein and other dairy products, they cause acne on my face. Currently, I am taking Pea Protein Isolate, it doesn't cause acne, but I don't see much result on muscle building so far, therefore, thinking to switch to Beef Protein.
Sorry for the delayed reply, we are playing catch up. We do think Insu-Pro is a very good post workout supplement, there are other good post workouts out there. Some people opt to use a whey isolate and add their own carbs which can help. We just posted a video where we ranked post workouts and discussed the criteria for the ranking. Thank you for watching.
@AntonSlizzardhands yes if you are taking whey and/or casein protein then you will get plenty of BCAAs as these are both very rich sources of BCAAs. If not then it would not be a bad idea to supplement some extra BCAAs.
Out of those the HydroBuilder would be best, that being said we are not big on hydrolysates. We have a vid on the topic that you may find helpful: 'Whey Protein Isolate Vs. Concentrate Vs. Hydrolysate' Hope this helps.
Tried it, beef and hemp are the only powders I can take without needing an epipen or having stomach issues and I'm getting much better results with the beef isolate. But I'm in the small minority of people who can't use whey or egg.
Best one I've had tbh. I'm lactose intolerant and even the whey protein that's lactose free STILL messes with my stomach so whey is a no go BUT, I've seen great results with this protein.
Hey team Gud job with the vids...pleased help me out with the following questions pls.... 1. Do carnivor manufacture gelatin and collagen free protein 2. If they do the. What's is the source of beef protein in the same Notice above profile in carnivor beef protein and carnivor shred awaiting for your honest reply Thanks
Yes that helps I won't be picking it up. I currently take dymatize iso-100 and musclemeds secret sauce. I take n-code for the pre workout. Would you recommend adding anything else?
As long as you are hitting your macronutrient goals and your diet is nutrient dense you should be good. The other two things you may consider would be a good multi and fish oil (assuming you do not regularly eat omega 3 rich fish). Hope this helps.
I stack carnivore with "ON" whey protien and have seen really good results . . Only 1 problem I've had with the carnivor fruit punch is when I #2 it comes out green ... I figured that it was just the dye but also figured it wasn't a good sign ... I switched to the other flavor , which is red , and did not have this problem ....try it for a month I think you'll like the results u see
I'm actually allergic to milk, so there's more of a concern to stay away from milk products like whey and casein. Would this be good for me or should I go for more soy or hemp protein?
Since this is beef protein and is easily obtainable. Also this is collagen & gelatin protein. In other words its not a powdered filet so it should be cheaper. When compared to the dairy proteins (whey and casein) it is inferior. So we recommend going w/ a good whey and/or casein. Hope this helps clear it up.
Sure, mass builders or weight gainers are referred to as such b/c in addition to protein they typically contain a lot of carbs and some fat in addition to protein. Typically once you reach ~ 1:1 carb to protein ratio that is considered a mass builder. Some people need the extra calories, some don't, or they use a protein powder and eat the additional carbs and fat. Hope this helps.
anabolic simply means 'to build tissue from complex molecules' the pejorative use of the terms is b/c it is added as a prefix for steroids (some). So it's fine, the aminos are no different from what you get from whole food protein. If someone is telling you this run the other way. We have a vid on bodybuilding supplements for teens you will find helpful.
What do you think is the best protein powder for strength building in general. I need something that is all in one such as amino acids, creatine, protein, stuff for muscle recovery, and so on.
you guys mentioned that there was nonfat dry milk. Milk is an issue with a lot of people. What is the lactose content of dry milk. There are a lot of products that claim to be lactose free but they aren't. The lactose sugar is "broken down" by added enzymes but not all of it.
i always have stomach issues with proteins i tried whey protein, egg protein, and hydrolized whey protein. are they any other types of proteins you recommend for me that people with my problem have been succesful with in taking?
the biggest benefit you'd get is a whey protein is going to be far superior than Carnivour (as it is simply collagen and gelatin protein) it's not as if you are drinking a filet. We get good feedback on the taste of Allmax Isoflex, which is a CFM Whey Isolate. Hope this helps.
I would like to enter a bulking stage but it is hard for me to reach my daily calorie intake eating 4-5 balanced meals due to my work schedule and the time to prepare those meals. I understand nothing replaces the quality of solid food but is it safe to say going with a supplement to fill in a portion of my daily protein needs is a good alternative? And I also heard mixing your proteins such as chicken with beef or steak, etc. will give you significant gains, is this true?
I've heard rumours that too much red meat is bad for you. Would taking this powder regularly for example 2 scoops a day be bad for your health in terms of over-consumption of red meat? thanks
Hello. I'm not a big guy but I am training 5-6 times a week to gain mass. I have never tried any supplement and want to know if you recommend this one for me. I don't have any intolerance to food of any sort. I would really like to help boost my body muscle gain and want to know if you would recommend this to someone with my background. Would appreciate your advice. Cheers, JZ
Hi guys. I would appreciate if you can answer these questions: 1) How many grams of BCAA this protein has and which is the BCAA ratio? I can´t find that information anywhere! The same happens with Platinum 100% Protein Beef (Muscletech), the main competitor... 2) What about the hydrolyzed gellatin? I was waiting to hear something related to that "ingredient". 3) You guys say there is no need to switch to this protein if you do not have problems with whey or casein, but what about the ammonia and nitrogen balance? I thought the ANRT included in Carnivor helped with that. Thanks!
@kikefaris yes there are some real dopes out there, thank you for the support. Well we would need to know a little more to be of more help. Can you send us a PM with a typical day in your diet, body weight, and goals.
I have a cholesterol problem and I don't eat red meat, any other protein options? I get chest pain sometimes on Carnivor, what could be the contributing factors?
How is this in terms of being gluten free? I have been taking syntha-6 for a while and I just realized that the glutamine peptides in syntha-6 is pretty bad in terms of gluten. This would explain why i have been having stomach problems due to the fact that I am sensitive to gluten.
Hi im allergic to lacotose in milk, so i started using this, if i want to start taking creatine how should i go about mixing it with my shakes? i usually do 2 scoops in 16 oz of water? would i be fine adding cretine, i ask because it already has some in it. thanks in advance!
@paintballfreak98 your body really won't adapt to whey, however if you would like to vary your protein sources we recommend getting a blended powder (whey, egg, casein). Hope this helps.
Hi i am very allergic to milkprotein i dont now if its kasein or whey, my doctor didnt tell me. But when i read on carnivals ingridients, i read that it had dry dairy milk . so is that with milk protein or not?
I'm in the process of nailing down a good Protein powder. I have a severe peanut allergy, am allergic to soy and lentils plus a low tolerance to lactose. Always been eating a healthy dose of meat but always wanting to get some edge. Also wanting if I should just supplement with Amino builders, creatine...etc.
I take carnivore protein ( 2 scoops a day) morning and after workouts. Is this a good protein powder for me since im really trying to lose weight? I lift and such and do about 25 min of interval cardio of treadmill, but worry the protein may not be helping with losing weight. The reason I bought this a year ago was because it had no fat or calories, is it good for cutting?
cant get this anywhere in Australia, and online doenst seem to send it here. Id like to give it a go as Whey Protein, fills me up with wind. Ok If I was working outside. would this be any different?
