+Adam K They've become fairly average their past few albums. They've got the talent, but the songwriting has been slipping for them.

+DraBoomer I agree with you. They've written several great songs over the past 3 albums, but the albums themselves are just inconsistent as wholes. Resistance is probably the best of the three because it's the most consistent, 2nd Law is just all over the damn place, and Drones is a little better, but still not very consistent. All three albums have great points but they just don't gel together. I also think Drones suffers because it seems like the whole concept of the album is just being beaten to death lyrically for the entire record.

+Jackson Page what do you mean by consistency? All bands change and grow at some point, from The 2nd Law to Drones, Matt officially cut off his relationship with his S/O, and the styles definitely reflect that to some extent. That's only one example of how styles and mindsets can change in bands! You have a valid point, and I do prefer Resistance, but you have to understand that change can and is good a lot of times:) especially with a band as special and as talented as Muse!!

+Scholarly Sloth I'm 110% for change and evolution musically, but I was more referring to consistency within an album. The albums from song to song just don't flow. Like on the 2nd Law, there are so many different ideas that the band is trying to go for that it's almost overwhelming. They sound like a different band from song to song. It makes for an album that doesn't feel complete as a whole. And perhaps consistency isn't the right word for it, because I wasn't really referring to the quality of the songs, but more their style. Maybe similarity is a better word for it. The albums just can't seem to focus on one general thing stylistically. I'm not saying that all the songs should sound exactly the same, but all the songs from one album should sound like they're from the same album.

Thanks for giving the drummer some love. He’s a human metronome,impeccably clean,polyrhythmic and always accenting the music FIRST! He could care less about showing off. All 3 are all about making the best music possible. Rare to find a band so talented and so humble.

exacto, en calidad y creatividad lo es, muy a su modo, Muse es el equivalente de Queen en nuestros dias, incluso ellos tienen canciones muy similares a lo que componía Mercury, No me refiero a que los copien, porque Muse es de esas bandas que hacen lo que quieren, pero lo hacen bien (o casi siempre).

Definitely and also every single one of the band members is so talented Matt is incredible and he sings dry well Chris is also a great bassist and Dominic is also very good. They are very unique but soo good.
