When I showed this song to my cousin who’s a 2 tour Iraq war veteran, he started sobbing at the line “still I’d lay down my life for you”; literally. A man that has seen it all, and all I see in his eyes are ‘wtf was this shit even for?’ And then I started crying too. Really sad, but a good bonding moment. I hope people actually realize this is a soldier’s mind when they go to war. They do it for us, even if they don’t know why they are doing it, even if there is no justice. That is the Soldier’s Poem. I have respect to all veterans of all nationalities. Whether you were on what I would see as ‘the right side or the wrong side’, I believe all soldiers have the intentions to make life better for their family and friends. And for that, I salute you.
Probably the most underrated song ever yet one of my top favs. It made me happy like a leprechaun and a pot of gold when this special one made an appearance at Wembley last month.
Throw it all away Lets lose ourselves Cause there's no one left for us to blame Its a shame we're all dying And do you think you deserve your freedom How could you send us all far away from home When you know damn well that this is all I would still lay down my life for you And do you think you deserve your freedom No I don't think you do There's no justice in the world There's no justice in the world And there never was
Had this tune on my MP3 player when I was a young kid, along with the rest of Black Holes and Revelations. Whenever it came on I'd skip it - I couldn't get enough of Assassain, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia etc... but as soon as I heard that slow drum beat and arpeggios I'd get bored. Nearly 20 years later I gave it a listen and completely fell in love with it. Amazing song
This is just amazing. The backing vocals, Matt singing, every fan in the stadium. Gives me goosebumps. This song is just breathtaking, stunning, beautiful.
One of their best performances of this song. The music is beautiful, and Matt's lead vocals and Chris's backing vocals are so hypnotizing they bring chills down my spine.
@@SofaKingStupid Step 1: Hold your phone/camera up Step 2: Do you still hear the music? Do you like the music? Are you jumping? Are you singing? Good job!
I know that perfection does not exist... but when I listen to MUSE.. It is like everything unperfect just disappear and muse is the only thing on this world, what really matters.
There are no jokes, I was actually the Millionth viewer of this video. I've been watching this entire since I'm really young and it always inspired me through my life and my musical education. It was the last official Muse Haarp video without the million and I always thought I had to be the Millionth for the symbol. So glad
Love how Dom always says Wembley in three syllables: "How ya doin,' Wem-beh-lay!?!" "Thank you very much, Wem-beh-lay!" "How's it goin', Wem-beh-lay?!?" I love his electric green trousers, too! :P
It was October 2009, I finally had this DVD I think it was during this song, I suddenly realised how much I had enjoyed myself watching it, how amazing these songs were. This was the moment Muse became my favourite band of all time
I think it looked better this year because it was actually dark by the time they played it, so all the lights looked especially beautiful. Still an absolutely gorgeous performance though, no doubt about that :)
I don't know if I'm too late or not. I went through an abusive relationship over a year ago, and whenever I really feel like hurting myself or ending my life, I usually listen to this song
Lyrics: Throw it all away Lets lose ourselves Cause there's no one left for us to blame Its a shame we're all dying And do you think you deserve your freedom How could you send us all far away from home When you know damn well that this is all I would still lay down my life for you And do you think you deserve your freedom No I don't think you do There's no justice in the world There's no justice in the world And there never was
Three things i DEMAND from this poor life..: 1) find a nice guy, 2) go to college and have a good career & see MY MYSE live at Wembley stadium.. (MUST)..they are just too good to be true..
The first time i heard of muse was when i was looking for a certain GH3 song. Some1 said its called knights of cydonia. they were wrong but since then muse has been a part of my daily life and make me emotional. :')
