Jose Antonio Ruiz Machicao perfect. Have you seen the video of him laughing at the fallen crowd surfer, and then directing the crowd to bring him back up?
How refreshing to watch a band unafraid to cross genres, styles, and be, dare I say it..... creative. I've never particularly listened to MUSE until this, but now I'm interested enough to listen to more.
Brilliant and EPIC...best band 4me and i wish that my dream 4duet with DepechMode come Truth -i wish reality D.P.&Muse 2gether maybe its only my dream, but i think NO. Only 1 song please,please,please...befor its 2late !
Seeing how the unsustainable orchestral section sounded without the other parts of the song really makes me wonder how muse hasn’t been hired to compose a movie soundtrack yet
Well, it confirms what Adrian Bushby (Muse engineer) said in an interview that Chris really knows what to do with his thing, he's so tight and sounds so good. Every take he does is practically the master takes. If there's a redone, it's probably because he wants to hone in certain bits. He knows well what to be kept and what to be thrown out. Adrian said the three of them really click well to each other in the studio and that's what makes who they're today as Muse.
The section that starts at 7:00 is just pure awesome... the sheer ammount of time & effort, that is then compiled into only a few seconds of music (the part with the choir voices). They could have easily used synth voice samples instead, which would only take a few hours of programming. Instead they decide to use live voices etc.... very cool
People who complain about muse's melodramatic lyrics should be shown 7:23 hahahaha. I thought I liked them but now I have no choice but to love them after watching this.
I love how Muse writes all these serious songs about world domination, and corruption, and then we see Matt in the Studio rocking out to his own song. XD
I have never seen someone knowing precisely what need to be done next. Muse are amazing. So much craft, research and hard work layered with honesty and integrity. Awesome stuff.
I looooooove how much of a creative genius maniac Matt is, i can really relate with him when it comes to being so animated and enthusiastic with the creating process. Love to see the madman in his element : )
Satanic666Overlord pretty amazing that it was God and not satan that blessed you with all that creative spark and enthusiasm that your mentioning. 😊.... just something for you to think about.
Still love Survival. Musically, it's a powerhouse and so very epic - especially with the overtones of the Olympics now. Vocally, now that I fully understand what the backup chorus is saying here, I'm not sure how I feel about it, lol. Not sure if it hurts the epic-ness or adds a sinister undertone to it. Ahh, the beauty of [truly-thought-out] music ;)
Dillon Anania so I was scrolling down reading each comment and right at the exact moment I reached & read your comment...the video had reached exactly 29:05! Synchronicity at its best. 🙂
I think this was the best album of Muse for me, it's in this album that Muse really "experimenting" with their sounds, and because this involves a lot of symphonic music too
I grew up listening to Zeppelin and Floyd, and listened to a lot of alternative and the techno, then Muse came along with their epic rock operas intertwined with English irony integrating every aspect of music I loved across the genre's. It is just so rich.
тот творческий процесс, когда музыка действительно рождается как идея и обретает душу и тело в процессе а не просто нарезка из сэмплов, спасибо Muse!!!
Wat een prachtige inkijk bij Muse! Geweldig om te zien! Wat een proces! Nog een zeven maanden! Dan zijn ze in het Goffert Stadion. Heerlijk met mijn broer!
That's not really true, even though I would agree on the term genius. Only for music they are 3 examples of people who were definitely more genius than Bellamy. 1. Beethoven - objectively best harmonies ever written 2. Frank Zappa - even though I don't like his music, his compositions are far beyond creative 3. Roger Waters - besides me liking Bellamies voice and instrumental play more, Waters was probably the best songwriter who ever lived until this day. Animals, Wish you were here and especially The Wall... probably the best albums ever released
This is awesome, I use to work in a studio with a big format console, SSL. working with that console and with many musicians, it is an amazing experience. Now I am with a little interface and in the box, it is not the same and it is frustrating sometimes.
