I saw them live last night. They were astonishing, and took the crowd on a journey through a superb sonic soundscape ranging from the percussive to drone/ambient. As for genres, they're a genre of one, although I hear an influence of minimalism in their work, especially Steve Reich. Because of the complex polyrhythms, they could also be considered 'math rock', although that can be a broad church.
