Musha Tactical and Musashi Dragonfly: Review Sample First Impressions 

If that Tactical Katana is truly full Tang it will be a excellent begginers piece along with the other one at the same time.

Matthew, have you heard of a brand called Siwode? They seem to be one of the better $150-$200 T10 steel sword venders on Amazon at this time. I recently purchased one of their "Dragon fly" Katanas. It's the only Katana I've ever owned. So my "point of reference", is how you say...non existent. Be nice to see you review one of them. Please consider contacting them to see if they'll cough up a "sacrificial marketing mule", for you to flog mercil.....er, I mean for you to "review." New sub here. I've been burned too many times by Musashi/Musha. Just too many cracked tsuka, loose wraps, and bad fittings. I've also noticed that most of my Musha blades seem to get spots of rust despite the fact that I oil my blades on a regular basis and I live a low humidity climate (not had this issue with any other brands). The ripples in the blades are also an irritant. The only model I've owned that I feel comfortable recommending is the shirasaya.

I'm so glad you showed this video my first Katana is A Musashi silver series very similar to the one you have but the blade is dull almost grey scale, not reflecting light at all, I will be contacting true swords immediately thanks for the first impressions

I'd say it's best to keep sword boxes around just in case you want to sell any of them easier down the road!

Hi Matthew, when you do the review and cutting test with the Dragonfly katana, would you mind adding a few remarks comparing its quality (in terms of cutting, handling, durability,) to that of the Ronin entry level 1045 series you tested some time ago? as silly as it sounds, i really appreciate a katana that has just a little itty bitty bit of ripple in the blade. kinda like a cool little part to prove that it's hand made.

My first sword was a Damascus musha. I bent the shit out of it on tree branches. I learned alot from that sword. Cut through 2 inch thick branches like a laser though. Was a good starter...

I'm not into Japanese swords at all but I reslly enjoy budget review stuff. I want to try out the style sometime but think it would be a waste to spend like 250+ on something I probably won't like. Nice vid as always.

The reason katana come covered in wood is to absorb impact.

can not order any of them the Musashi Gold Dragonfly both say This item requires special handling and cannot be shipped to your selected location. have no clue why I have ordered other swords from Amazon and got them OK like my cold steel swords yay , but still don't get it and they won't give me a legit answer ????

Rather then destroying swords you could maybe give them to your subscribers, like myself who can’t afford a katana because I’m a starving student . I think katanas are beautiful and I’m not talking about the wall hangers but rather the Hanwei, Ronin and some Musashi katanas and other nicely made katanas .

Pool noodles are hard to chop cleanly esspeshaly the thick ones I don't spell to good

Condor Tool & Knife has the worst packaging, they don't protect their tips with tip protectors and don't put tape or sealer on the boxes.

Probably off topic but is your house haunted because every now and then I hear what sounds like breathing or deep breaths and I see a bunch of little white dots flying around lol when I was a kid we used to live in a what seemed like a haunted house and all the pictures taken in the house always has little white dots in the frame but everywhere else was fine lol
