That’s fab. You won’t be disappointed they are brilliant for the money, well to be honest they are brilliant if twice the price , they have very few faults 👍
I bought the dojo pro #11. Yes the handle aka tsuka does fit your hand nice. Nice n slim ,hour glass. And it does make a sound,cause of the bo hi,that sounds like nothing else.
Lol yea. I’ve been doing martial arts for over 30 years, I teach kickboxing. I’ve been training with weapons much longer than that though , ever since a kid swinging a stick 🤣 Don’t follow any traditional sword arts I am just a humble back yard piss about cutter 👍💪🤣🤣🤣👊
@@andyclare03, that's what bugs me, people that say, " You can't do that ! It's not traditional !" If your life is on the line, you do what works not what is "traditional." Some of those "traditional" martial artists wouldn't last 5 minutes in a battle.

@@thedukeofskull1383 in a fight with a person trained in "traditional" martial arts - let's say an expert in the miyamoto musashi style of combat, you would probably still have a 0.05 % chance to win without training. Why? Because of warrior spirit. That's what's difficult to develop in a dojo, a warrior mentality, which is only achieved by dueling for real and putting your life on the line. Sadly, or luckily, depends how you look at it, there is no way to develop that in traditional sword dueling anymore. All you can do is either study the ancient schools of fencing and dueling, or swing your sword like a madman in your backyard - either way, you will never prove if you would get cut down or not in a real duel with a traditionalist. Barking about it in youtube comments is pointless. (I still like to talk about it, but it IS ultimately pointless) Today's martial arts like ufc are different of course, because in a way you are putting your life on the line every time you enter that cage, although even that would play out differently in fights to the death, and in real street fights.
ronin dojo pro makes the best traditional tsukas over any company . hanweis tsukas are trash and they to big and wide . hsts makes good tsukas also but ronin is at the top of their game when it comes to the tsukas . I have the dojo pro #13 and my fuchi doesnt have any wiggle in it . I also had the dojo pro #17 and it had no wiggle in the fuchi . but I gave my #17 dojo pro to my best friend thats like a brotha to me and he loves it . it was a birthday present to him and I know he been wanting a katana so I had to look out for my brotha . but ronin is my favorite company along with hsts and sino sword . I also have the dojo pro #3 tanto and that little fucker is a vicious little beast . I sharpened it and stropped it with a nice polish job that I did on it and its an outstanding tanto and I wouldnt sell it or trade it for nothing . my katanas will be with me till the day I die and when I die then I want my dojo pro #13 katana to be cremated along with me because that dojo pro #13 is a part of me and a part of my soul so we shall go down together
@@computron808 yeah I got the # 2 and # 3 tanto , which they gave me the # 2 tanto for free when I ordered the # 3 tanto . but I love my # 3 tanto and is among my favorite of all my blades and its a really tough blade and made some cuts that really suprised me .
Don’t know, don’t have a model 7 , the model 7 has a blade bohi as well, the blades the same length and the only major difference looks like the different tusuba . I would imagine it sounds the same when using it . Brilliant swords but now sadly here in the U.K. where I am they are difficult to get hold of and not sold here much anymore.
Greetings from Orange County California. Thank you for your review the Ronin swords. I'm new to the scene and looking at the Dojo Pro line, but it's all very confusing on their website. Reviews like this and information from sites like Matthew Jensen's or very helpful. Cheers.
Matthew Jensen knows loads more than I do he’s brilliant fun to watch. Yea can’t fault the dojo pros for the money as a sword they can do anything you ask of 👍

Let me ask you this if you know; you reviewed the model 12 here and somebody in your comments was touting the model 13 and when I look at them on the website I really can't see any difference, other than just the way they deck them out with the different color Ito and a different style of tsuba plus whatever other fittings. So is that the main difference between their models, just the way they finish them? I mean I know there are some models that have shorter or longer blades, but the most of them seem to be a 28 inches and amongst those I can't tell any difference other than cosmetics added to the blade.
@@michaelrs8010 hiya , yea most of them have the same blade lengths, it’s the same steel made in the same way. Most don’t have bohi in the blades only one I think I have . Same everything it’s just the grip colours, tusuba, saya etc, just the fittings . Don’t quote me but I think it’s the model 12 with the ring tusuba I have with the grooved blade , absolutely awesome noise when swing it at the correct angles , it makes a extremely loud noise compared to any other sword like this . I love it for that fun factor alone 👍
