did exactly what you did with two of your millet bags, a syringe of chestnuts and a syringe of comb's tooth. they're well on their way. very cool to watch

mix one at about 20% innoculated, and then mix again around 90 % inoculated

you can do this without the sterilized water, the live sample is good enough ! I would use 1-2lb bags at most as 5-6lb bags will take a long time to colonize.

The only difference between the two in my opinion is you get more time to wipe the alcohol around with 70% vs it evaporating quickly at 90%. Both work just as well if applied correctly but 70% gives you more time to work with it. Alcohol will never be what solely kills 100% of the bacteria but either percent of alc will kill the same amount of bacteria. I would definitely recommend bleach/water followed up with alcohol if you’re sterilizing bins/tents/surfaces as long as its a 10% bleach by volume ratio. All opinion based to an extent I suppose
