Former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher sits down to re-live the Music City Miracle, one of the most famous plays in NFL history. Wednesday marks the 20th anniversary of the famous play, which vaulted the Titans past the Bills in the AFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

First of all, those that are calling it a foward pass, need to get their eyes checked. It was a lateral clear as day. Secondly, it's the Bills fault for not running the clock down before they kicked that field goal. They left too much time on the clock. I'm not even a Titans fan but I call it like I see it

@@dadefope80 Must be A MILLION depictions of that play available on RU-vid, much less across social media. Take you pick. There was a time in history...when a person had to rely on imagination, to draw their own visual account of something related in verbal or written form. Being an avid reader...I must say I got to be pretty good at conjuring up quite the visual backdrop to a given audio or literary story...and actually enjoyed it immensely. I don't begrudge the development of film and video...but I do countenance an argument could be made that something is lost in the fact that individuals no longer are compelled or even allowed to exercise creative process insofar as how to individually draw up the optics surrounding some given event. Just an opinion.

Cant believe it's been 20 years when that play happen I'm a hugh Buffalo Bills. Ever since that happen the Tennessee Titans where the reason our Buffalo Bills havnt made the playoffs in 17 stright seasons.

His teams were hard as nails. He was a little too conservative as the game changed, though. I think that had he been an HC in the '60s and '70s he would have been in Canton.

I was standing on the chair-back. I still don't believe it. This play put the Titans in football history. The part missed is just how tough this team really was at the time. Meat and potatoes football team. It's not luck.

I think he is a great coach who was a little old school even for his day. Bit too conservative in a more and more open league. Definitely a Buddy Ryan guy! He is more of a coaches coach who has much more respect in the NFL than in the fandom. (He should come back and coach the New York Jets. They might actually start winning some dang games!)

Let me tell you what really happened, Wade Phillips benched Doug Flutie after he went 10-6 that season, the backup couldn't score any points the game was so horrible to watch, but all of America watched and waited for Flutie to be put in the game, it never happened. Still can't believe Wade Phillips still gets work, if Flutie started the game, Bills would of won, and made it to the Super Bowl just like Tennessee did

I have to agree with you. Doug Flutie was basically benched because he was shorter. Everywhere Doug Flute ever went he did noting but win games. Side note: Flute is the only player in the last 50 years to kick and make a field goal using the drop kick.

Yeah I was a small child when I saw the music city miracle live on TV and was in awe looking at it. Benching Flutie made no sense at all for a no-name like Wade Phillips since I cannot remember who that guy is for the life of me but I remember Flutie.

I was on the field by Titans bench working event security. Was a crazy ending, I’m high fiving mascot T Rac and remember some guy running towards Titan bench after play during review and police officer clothes lined him- note keep your credentials out lol.

Right because you had a better view than the line judge who saw where the ball was and where it went as well as the ref who reviewed it in the booth for several minutes to make absolutely sure because it was a conference championship/they have the best refs on those.
