They should hire me. I have watched ALL seasons of hard knocks, I know how to coach. Just walk around the field during camp with a hat and sunglasses on yelling and swearing and then go sit in your office and cut players. When you got your 53 men sit everyone down in the projector room and say something motivational or just plug in your phone and play a Ray Lewis motivation video and then sign everyone to 1 year contracts and tell them win the Superbowl or everyone is fucking cut real talk, hire me

Jeff Fisher's only claim to fame was with Steve McNair and Eddie George, and even back then he wasn't that good. The Ravens kicked their asses in 2000. One miracle play over the freaking Buffalo Bills doesn't mean you're a good coach.

It was a nice win as 49ers fan but I still think we're gonna have a rough year. If we can get a top 5 pick and get a franchise QB in the draft, add to the team with FA deals next offseason, and Chip grows with the team then maybe we can compete in 2017 or 2018 tho. Nice to celebrate for the first week before we likely lose to Carolina and Seattle though I hear you

I am very surprised that more people in the media don't say the same thing. Shannon Sharp is correct that Fisher is barely an average coach. That loss was embarrassing, and it was barely a watchable entertainment product.

The 1985 Bears defense and the late eighties Eagles defense were two of the greatest ever assembled. Credit did not just go to buddy Ryan. Jeff Fisher having an association with it as a linebacker coach made him a hot commodity to get as a linebacker coach and later defensive coordinator it put him on Fast Track to become a head coach even though he did not have an original thought in his head. Then a gamble play the Music City miracle gave him the appearance of credibility as a coach coming close to a Super Bowl win. He has been milking these two things ever since. This story is really not that unusual. Some people got a chance to be a head coach just because they had been an assistant under Bill Walsh. But nobody ever let them milk it this long

I was wondering the same thing about Fisher while watching Hard Knocks. Looked more like a country club than a football training camp. Fast forward to last night but now only was the effort nonexistent but you saw Fisher standing on the sideline with the same indifferent expression on his face the entire game.

The 49ers defense is rising and near elite with the young players blossoming with one of the the best defensive players in the NFL of Navarro Bowman....and one the best LB's Aaron Lynch, as well, was not even playing and cannot until Week 5. Carlos Hyde is a beast. The national media just really hates the 49ers and Chip Kelly. The Rams are bad but give the 49ers some credit at least and not make snide remarks about them on the side while criticizing the Rams. They played a great game. Only had 2 penalties all game that were minor, 4 for 4 in the red zone of TDs against a great defense according to the same experts here, the O-Line is much improved and protected the passing game while giving holes for the running game and also the 49ers scored 2 TD's off both INTs.

StephenA is always on point and quick with the stats and numbers, and plus there's no sports analyst out there who always gets the picks right. Sure StephenA screams at time! Jeff Fisher is terrible. Better coaches have been fired or forced to retire like Coughlin and Billick and have won superbowls. No way fans in LA will put up with this like he got away with it in St. Louis. That is not a knock on St. Louis or their fans. People in LA will lose interest fast and Kroenke will have an empty stadium. I don't expect Fisher to last long under the microscope in LA. The only reason he got to the superbowl was because Mcnair used his athletic ability ran on busted plays against the Jaguars in the playoffs. It wasn't Fishers play calling that got them there.

Jeff Fisher is an abomination, he's a horrible role model for children. 8-8 or 7-9. I'm sure he's a great person, but that's neither here or there. He should retire now, Whisenhunt got canned two years after he was in the SB and div round the following year. This is the NFL some of these owners are just lying to themselves.

In his second year at coach of the Bucs, Lovie Smith had a rookie Jameis Winston, went 2-14, and got fired at the end of the season. Don't give me the excuse "Fisher has a rookie QB who he needs to develop." Fisher is a terrible head coach that should have been fired last season.

So rams had almost no fans due to an inability to win, they completely throw away the remaining STL fan base (which the cards and blues is incredible, btw), then move Back to LA with another team, in a state with 2 teams already, then play like garbage. The rams have no value at all.
