Attack on titan is probably one of if not the best show out there. Great story, great music, great characters. Music is probably one of the best parts but everything else is a solid 10/10. Shame some people can’t look past it being an anime

Sawano is so underated outside Japan, he can make anything and make it at levels that even hollywood oscar winners can not dream. Even "genius" can not start to define him

Hiroyuki Sawano won Best Music in Tokyo Anime Award 3 times. The other serial winners are Yoko Kanno (she make songs for Cowboy Bebop) and Yuki Kajiura (I know her songs in Demon Slayer). You should also check the work of the other two.

A lot of people involved? You don't know the half of it. This is literally one of the biggest anime of all time. If shounen jump shows are like Marvel/DC superhero movies then Attack on Titan is like the recent Joker movie or the Dark Knight. In terms of popularity and in terms of tone. Attack on Titan is also just unbelievably good.

Oh man. Was not expecting anime on here. Seriously though, there is some absolutely mind-blowing music created for anime.

In case u didn’t notice the guy playing keyboard/synthesiser is Kohta Yamamoto, the main composer of Aot s4. Ashes on the fire is done by Kohta.

Sawano Hiroyuki deserves the same accolades, reknown, respect, love and awards as someone like Ramin Djawadi (composer for Game of Thrones). The development of the theme, the insight into plot and character, the innovative instrumentation and level of talent is on display every single time. An absolute talent!

Aot is a masterpiece Plot,animation, characters,op and end, all ost everything No matter what ppl say It has been the best anime

I could say Attack on Titan have the best soundtrack of all tv shows. The ways Sawano craft that music and the fact it perfectly fit to the show it's just simply amazing masterpiece.

I’ve played in orchestra so I understand that there’s a lot of moving parts to make something sound beautiful, but what Sawano does that is so genius is the most genuine and purest form of the word cacophony. There’s a lot of harshness in the many little sounds and instruments that are brought together to make something truly beautiful. Every instrument’s sound shines in the composition and you can hear that with how the melodies come together. He really puts on a masterclass of composing, one of the greatest modern composers in my opinion!

He is a composer with a talent of storytelling. Coz he can tell a story with just music.

Listening to this brings up EPIC moments from the anime .....it makes me wanna rewatch it.

Another important thing to note that a lot of people gloss over is that the main singer in several songs isn't actually singing in her native language of Japanese, but is actually singing in German and in English as well.

The sound track of AOT is probably one of the best I have ever heard. As an oboist and saxophonist I have spent hours after watching AOT trying to disect every song in the show to the fullest extent possible. It makes the music nerd in me go insane just how much theory is behind all of this. This is truly a show worth this sound track

Whenever I hear "Counter Attack-Mankind" track, I'm still amazed and grateful to Sawano for this great track.

The music really fits the unending twisting suffering and battling in that anime. Emotional and physical.

The cool thing about AoT is that the composers come back every season to revamp soundtracks based on the tone and theme of the story. I'm so glad to have bumped into you reacting to this. the writing in general in attack on titan is great. all the way from the story and characters to the music is just a masterpiece. having hiroyuki sawano as the composer for isayama's story is something I never knew I needed. they're both awesome at their work it's stunning

Tony, you've gotta watch the show. From someone who is pretty new to anime, it's just incredible and I never thought an anime could grasp my heart (and adrenal glands) with such force and vigour. It's gritty, challenging, white-knuckle, beautifully imperfect and well worth your time

This performance features some of the most insane vocal runs I have heard in my life, hands down. It's feel that every person who was a part of that performance is legendary at what they do.

Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius

It’s crazy Attack on titan is the only anime that had me emotional, for the first time I felt feelings towards a character or group. It’s mind boggling

I don't know what's more brilliant, the story in the show or the soundtrack...

Sawano Composing is absolute godlike. He's the Hans Zimmer of the eastern room with ppl like kohta yamato :D. Every Qualityaspect in the Animeshow Aot is maximized, so best possible Artstyle, Animation; Sountrack compositions for certain moments; Voice actors, Storyline. And if you like western shows like GOT and so on, Aot is like the same genre but has better ratings per episode :D This Music is btw connected with the story and foreshadowed events 8years before they appeared in the Anime. Most of the Soundtracks mika kobayashi is singing are in german lyrics built through symbolic foreshadows :D Get that Artwork on your RU-vidchannel as a reaction :p

The show and the story are beautiful as much as this music, and whenever this music play in the show it's the unforgettable Scenes

I will never get over this suite. Having seen the show it just evokes all the feelings I had when watching it. Just amazing

AoT is such a unique experience. Not only is it the best series of all time, but it has the music to back it up. It's one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. I used to love Hans Zimmer growing up, but now? Swano is just pure genuis, I love that he incorperates a lot of rock, metal and electronic styles into his pieces. While the music is perfect on its own, I think watching the series with the music makes it 10x as impactful.

This kinda reaction is what I like, you dont just hear ppl saying oh cool, oh damn gawd thats so goof etc ect, but really in depth talking about the music and give us knowledge eventho we dont understand 100% what he's saying. If Sawano watch this Im pretty sure he'll be more proud rather than ppl who only say cool! Awesome etc etc. Keep the good work sir!!

I appreciated it before but now I appreciate it even more. AoT soundtrack is truly one of a kind and Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius of his own class. Agreed so much for what you said about what it takes for a person to even think of these things no less translate them to other people in a way that it can be made into actual music. Hiroyuki Sawano like teasing us with his music and idk what is the correct term in music but his music often have 2 layers which go completely opposite direction and I’m surprised it created a really powerful contrast

Truly this video did a good job of capturing at most some 50% of the musical ideas presented in all the soundtracks. I love the fact that the composer made it because it gives people who have less time a quick way of getting to hear a lot of it. If you listen to the albums, especially the season 2 and 3 albums, there is so much interplay between the different melodic ideas and songs, that you really get an even higher perception of his genius. Guy truly made something eternal here.

I would also recommend his work on the show 86. I know it might not be as popular as aot, but it still is an amazing show with great songs that fit every scene.

The first song is the main theme of attack of titan since season 1 and the lyrics is still reflects the what happened in the final season.

I just hope they played these songs a lot more often, bc there are so many amazing scenes that can be supported with these amazing music
