This holds no credibility. I simply found this comparison whilst I was layering and cutting the TFA soundtrack; The structure for the two pieces is ultimately the same, they have the same kind of step-wise motion toward the end, but what’s interesting is the keys are the exact corresponding major and minor keys for each other. And while the Love Theme is ascending the Reflective Motive is descending. In making Rey's reflective motif it seems Williams took Han and Leia’s Theme and flipped it. I don't have a conclusion as to the reason behind this decision, but the two most obvious might be that either Rey is Han and Leia's daughter, or the motif is significant in highlighting the lack of love (and, by extension, lack of a family) in Rey's life.
