Hey guys this is my reaction to and analysis of the color coded lyrics of the song Outro: Tear by the Rapline (RM, SUGA, J-Hope) of K Pop boy group BTS, as well as the live performance of said song. Hope you enjoy!

EsaveoTheArtist This was at Wembley in London. They did two nights... two nights of Hobi in that Dior harness. They’re all in Dior. The stage has a cat walk leading to a smaller stage within the audience. The configuration for this postponed tour looked like a catwalk shaped like a 7 with the small stage within the audience.

Suga wrote his part when BTS was going through a very difficult time between 2015-2016 and was deeply contemplating the idea of disband. Fortunately, they decided to continue and a few months later they released the album Love Yourself: Tear, which was a worldwide success.

got the timeline slightly wrong they this was released in 2018. not sure when it was written cause sadly theres been a few times bts thought of disbanding for different reasons 1 not having enough funds in the early days, 2 the hate they were getting, 3 the pressure of fame etc 2018 was a very hard year so i wouldnt be surprised if it was written within the same year it was released.

@@LynnHermione look up BTS" speech at MAMA 2018 for Artist of the Year. They were thinking of disbanding in the beginning of 2018. Coincidentally, 2018 is also the year when they re-signed the extension of their contract with BigHit, so presumably there were talks about not extending any further.

yes your are right. yoongi says tear as in torn and rm says tear as in crying. the title of the song is tear as in crying because the album is called Love Yourself: Tear (crying). also i agree that j-hopes dior outfit amazinggg

In the BTS docu-series called Break The Silence, Suga said, "the lyrics for *'Tear'* were written for the members. When I was writing the melody at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together."

The usage of tear as in teardrop and tear as in to rip is genius, with a follow up of fear. This was written by Yoongi in 2018 when BTS was doing really well in growth, but not well mentally. They were considering disbanding. Yoongi wrote and played this for the members and he said they cried. Knowing this breaks our hearts.

I have a love and hate relationship with this song live. Don't get me wrong, the song is fire and they are hot af , but at the concert this song is right after the vocal line The Truth Untold, and Jiminie cried during the performance in Brazil, so I was like crying with him, and then BAM outro tear in my face. Lol The amazing outfits were made by Dior for the tour.

as far as where the performance was, i think that this was from wembly stadium. it was super cool cuz they did a live stream of the whole concert, so i was able to watch it while it happened. it’s a great song, and the album love yourself: tear is also a fantastic album.

anyone can appreciate the song without any analysis... but when you delve into the intricacies, you realize why BigHit and BTS are like no other because they kick your a** in every single aspect from production, lyrics, stylistics, metaphor, flow, synergy and differentiation, collectivism and individualism. There's so many layers of complexity. It's f***ing awe-inspiring and amazing af... I love and respect that you have such immediate awareness in the areas of your expertise... grateful!

After this performance they went straight into mic drop with full choreography and dance break... which i just realized you haven't watched yet! You should check out the dance practice or the live performance from mma 2017 it was super hype. The mv for it doesn't show the whole dance or any of the dance breaks.

My favorite BTS song of all time. This song is about BTS contemplating breaking up with all the painful words, feelings and tears. Its incredibly moving and heart breaking. They said when they listened to it together they all cried.

I can't even begin to describe the absolute power and raw emotion that could be felt throughout the whole stadium when I saw this in NJ.....it was AMAZING! On a side note, Dior designed their outfits (first time ever).

TEAR was definitely the emotional climax of the concert. Easy to understand why. The green lights add to the very upset/sick feeling these lyrics present to us. Knowing they were arguing, not getting along to the point of possible break/up is sickening so the green is appropriate.

All of your theories are right, Esaveo. This song was written by Yoongi when BTS went through a hard time. When they were thinking of disbandment. This song is one of my favourites. It means a lot to me. "LY: Tear" was my first comeback. It's very special album to me.

I love watching you geek out to the song and production :) This song is a masterpiece in my opinion and live it is insane. Now since the recent revelation from Suga (From the Break the Silence docu series) about the meaning and context the song was written from it is is even more emotional and powerful. It is about their relationship as a group. I have heard many people say they were moved to tears watching this in concert it is so intense. Never forget that these boys are masters of word play in both Korean and English. So intelligent. Mad respect.

Those outfits was especially made for BTS by Dior. All seven of them have similar outfits by Dior. This performance was at Wembley Stadium. If you watch the Mic Drop performance which was after Outro Tear, you can see all seven outfits 🙂

No offense to the other rapline songs but Tear is a whole another level they slayed so hard this song makes me so emotional and HOT. No other rapline song won over this one not even Ugh which’s the one they released it after Tear and I really wonder if they ever gonna release one that take over Tear but if they don’t I will respect that cuz Tear is now my religion its not just a song so I wouldn’t expect regular songs to take over it 😇

I’m sure you’ve heard the meaning behind this song and that explains the passion every time they perform it, especially Hobi. Those outfits are also custom Dior outfits that were designed and made for all seven members. I also wish they could have a break, after that they went straight into performing Mic Drop😭

It can actually be tear and tear (as you guessed later on...) because namjoon uses the word tear as in the crying tears and yoongi uses tear like a tear in the heart.💔😥 This song is a masterpiece and especially if you know the context to how it came about and what they dedicated this song and lyrics too is actually devastating.

I just came back to this video again (bcuz I have nothing else to do). And realised. Yoongi harmonises with himself a lot. Especially by using autotune on one of his harmonies. His use of autotune in his songs are very strategic and amazing. It's gives such a great vibe. Sad or happy. Just exemplifies the emotions either way. Genius. Min Suga, jjang jjang man boom boom.😉😍

I entirely adore this song. And yes, J-Hope is a stage king. I really believe that the dancer in him also gives him this command of rhythm in rap that is just phenomenal, and entirely his own. Omg!!! I recommended this one way back when you first started reacting to them! This is absolutely in my top three BTS songs. It is a lyrical and musical masterpiece imho. And yes Hobie wrecks everyone when they perform this live. He is a revelation live.
