of course the only glitch i’ve seen genuinely affect the game to the point where you miss important story beats happens with matpat, the guy who potentially cares about the story more than anyone else lmao ☠️
It's cause he continues to look around for hidden things instead of going the route the game leads. I love watching him but it sometimes irritates me when he does too much looking around. I get it sometimes it's not as obvious what the game route is but when it is he bypasses it completely and gets stuck or misses some cutscenes.
MatPat is the epitome of "You're so busy looking 5 moves ahead, you can't see the move in front of you." If Freddy starts dancing, he's definitely going to miss it.
If it’s someone’s job from the theorist team to read these comments then PLEASE tell MatPat that the teleportation glitch he experienced caused him to miss a big section with lore implications!
They said they read the comments and I’m pretty sure there are enough of them that somebody’s I’ll notice. Atleast I hope they do. This is why I miss GTlive cus chat could tell them as it’s happening that they missed somethingz
Matpat’s the only person who can somehow skip an entire section just accidentally, call himself out on it and then just continue forward anyway because it’s fnaf and when something dosnt make sense in fnaf you just accept it
@@FailedNoName what could they do to rectify it? The game auto saves so they are stuck where they glitched to, also you dont unlock chapter select until you beat the game so do you want them to start from the beginning?
@@more-reasons6655seriously lol, matpat carved out a huge chunk of his time in england (and with family) just to play this game in a timely manner for US. i definitely don’t blame him for just dealing with the glitch and moving on, especially when he doesn’t fully know what’s happening or how to fix it.
or just to know that sometimes you need to force the player to see the "big thing", with how mark and mat are missing out the jumpscares by turning in the opposite direction when they happen
@@DiceFTW273 Unless you referring to something very specific that I don't know about, yes. It is still a common practice to hire volunteers or paid testers to try out a game before it's is released, sometimes even very early on in development. Alternatively, often games are released in beta versions (or similar) for a select audience ("private") or anyone ("public") to test and report on.
@@reljabosnjak6750When MatPat put on the mask and teleported. He said multiple times “this feels like a glitch” but eventually decided it was just weird game pacing.
What's hilarious to me is that both Mattpat and Markiplier are like "these wet floor guys are the key to the secret ending" but when faced with the cameras, the real key to the secret ending, they both go "what's the point of these cameras" and keep rolling
To be fair, the wet floor bots have a lot of ominous energy around them that is kind of reminiscent of the happiest day mini games that lead to “real” or secret endings from past games. The cameras, you have to mess around with a bit before you realize what you’re supposed to do with them. So I totally get why it’s easy to confuse these things.
@@deidaraseteThere are 5 secret cameras scattered throughout the game. Going to them opens a door in each one of them, which unlocks a secret room in the final chase that takes you to a different ending.
everyone’s talking about how matpat glitched past important lore but the moment when they said “MUUSSIICCC MAAAANNNNNN” in harmony then tom started dying was glorious
If I had a nickle for every time Matpat glitched out and skipped important lore in Security Breach I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
..did you quote matpat? I know it’s a common saying but I remember matpat saying it in one of his theory’s especially the, “which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice”
Matt skipping half the gameplay unintentionally, and then smooth sailing on like it never happened is absolutely hysterical and the most MattPatt thing to do
@@Jamjamsart this is very true - although I wish the game pointed out that you are actively teleporting a little bit more - like more comments from Cassie or something you know?
@@Dolphin2048There was a point at around 25 minutes where mat switches to the AR world and it somehow glitches and makes him skip the entire segment with Roxy and just sends him straight to the basement
That actually disappointed me quite a bit, the teleportation between the glitch world and the real world must have gotten jumbled up.. I just hope they didn't complete the game without seeing that whole segment, Roxy saving cassie is going to be rather jarring, like matpats sequence break with the whole "disassemble Freddy" ending in the base game
@@Tomatech It's especially weird since this is the first time I've seen the glitch at all. He'll probably load an earlier chapter for the next episode as long as he finds out
I'm not so sure about Cassie being "protected" from Roxy somehow. It feels more like she tends to interact with these animatronics more like how they're *supposed* to work. They only ever seem to be aggressive towards her because of their damage, what with Chica and Monty being pretty wrecked. The Daycare Attendant was mostly fine, and then became completely friendly when fixed. Roxy is aggressive to Gregory because she wants her eyes back, but anyone else is fine to her. I think this just reflects even more on Gregory being..... unusually antagonistic with the animatronics.
Despite him accidentally skipping a section due to a glitch, you know Matt is going to be delving into this game more than once, exploring every nook and cranny. So he'll experience the first encounter with Ruined Roxanne at some point while going through each chapter individually. But you can't deny it, despite him skipping the salon, his experience has been relatively smooth sailing compared to the base game. xD
Oh God yes... I remember in the base game he had that first encounter with Moon as the clock hit 12 and he simply wasn't able to go into Freddy's charging booth because of that stupid glitch that made him go one way instead of the other. That was super frustrating part, specifically because it was so early into the game. Luckily we do know MatPat will dive right back into it once he finishes the game and find everything he needs to find.
Damnit! Here i am watching Mark and Matt side by side, seeing Mark's playthrough and thinking "Wow i can't wait to see what Matt says about this!" Then he literally misses the one section i wanted to see him geek out about! D I S A P P O I N T E D
I honestly feel bad for Mat, he’s gonna have to replay this even more times than he would have before 😭 He somehow manages to miss so much lore in the process of hunting for it 💀
@@Anti-HyperLink Sorry, i cant recall exactly what i was referencing but im fairly certain he skipped an entire chapter of the game by using the mask in the wrong place before it blocked itself. He had to replay for more lore 😭
It would be the session where MatPat says "to this game's credit, I haven't experienced any glitches in the DLC yet" that he does get the Mask Teleportation glitch without realizing it. He was right, he really did doom himself the moment he said he hadn't gotten any glitches yet. 😂
I love how the other animatronics are led around by Cassie's voice as a lure. But Roxy is angry at Gregory for what he did to her so it uses his voice as a lure instead.
@@ArtisticzoryaEven if he didn't mean to hit her, he stole her eyes on purpose. She's probably looking for him specifically because of that, when she realizes she grabbed Cassie she apologizes and walks aways, she's not the one who took her eyes.
@@ArtisticzoryaI wonder, you know that The Boys meme with Imagine Dragons ' Bones ' that played whenever a female character got killed or something, Is there a FNAF one with Roxy getting hit by the go-kart cuz that'd be kinda interesting but then again, why am I talking about a meme that passed? Idk and besides there's a good feeling going on in this comment section right?
While looking for lore, matpat happened to accidentally skip multiple segments of significant lore by equipping his mask in a completely random hallway
@@Anti-HyperLink he put on his mask in a random hallway and skipped a majority of the story with significant pieces of lore (sorry i'm not great at grammar)
That moment when you want to see how MatPat reacts to a certain point in the game, but exactly this part of was skipped (in 25:06) due to a bug... at least.... he saw MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSIIIC MAAAAN
You really do need Markiplier and Matt's gameplays together. One plays by instinct and doesn't think much about it, the other thinks too much. You gotta combine that data.
48:25 if that teleport felt jarring and un natural, that's because it was. You experienced a glitch related to using the vanny mask, and skipped a huge section of gameplay.
For those of you concerned about Matpat skipping the segment he did, just remember that there's something in that section that's required for the secret ending so they'll definitely end up going back to it later.
but it also takes away from the emotional impact of the story and no one will see his reaction to the ending with context from the salon, and its possible we won’t see his reaction to the salon at all due to the fact he will probably onkly replay the game out of videos
@@bruh1521 Never said it was serious at all just kinda takes away from the playthrough not seeing his reaction the full story. And like I said I know he will play again just don’t think he will replay in any videos
im actually surprised they did have a bigger response to roxies "error" bit. i feel like it confirms it was bad ai giving to them, and once cassie screams roxie reverts back to her usual rules and then theres a error maybe indicating like two different tasks going against each other, like "catch someone at all costs" against "dont harm children"
I think the error might just be more simple than that. She was assuming she was chasing Gregory, hence why go goes "give me back my eyes." And so once she heard Cassie, she realized she wasn't chasing Gregory and had to process it.
the glitch here 25:06 somehow warped you past a significant section involving roxy and chica, as well as some important lore about both cassie and gregory. id really recommend going back and replaying this section.
About the "disappearing" to the endo skeletons, it actually makes more sense when you remember that Freddy couldn't see Vanny without Roxy's eyes, and was "invisible" to him but not Gregory. To understand why the glitch at 25:06 happened, you need to understand what the game does when you put the mask on. It teleports you upward to a replica of the room you were previously in, as the game checks where you are, then decides where you should go. Because of this, if there are other areas above where you're at, the game may misinterpret where it should put you, making you glitch in various ways, causing you to fall back into the regular world with the mask still on, teleport, or fall out of the world when you take the mask off.
That would explain a similar glitch that happened to me after replaying chapter 1 where whenever I jumped through the screen it would freak out and drop me from above. Then when I took it off it would drop me but I would fall through the floor.
There was a room Mat didn't get into in 50:37 that may be unimportant for the game, but at the same time holds so much lore about the hole circus baby topic that I think should be mentioned by someone.
@@Anti-HyperLink Like I said, it was unimportant for the game. Although, he did skip a part, it was not this one. Please, if you want to criticize someone, make sure that what you are saying makes sense. Thank you.
@@aliciatheunknown3092 Is this an early release? I could see Steel Wool specifically giving Matpat a version that skips that part to just mess with him.
@@irenbebe Just to mess with him, as I said. (Yes, I know that's not what happened. It's just a joke making fun of the irony that of all people, Matpat somehow managed to miss important lore stuff.)
It was funny watching Mat's extremely simple jaunt through the Server Room with absolutely no issues, while Mark was at least somewhat worried about Chica getting at him the entire time while he was going through there, especially while he was doing the puzzles.
@JustAsExpected oh the MXES definitely does. And mark was tempting fate. But still it's weird how Mark broke both Chica and Monty by tempting the MXES.
You did skip a section when you teleported to the raceway, and the part of course had some interesting lore drops about Cassie and Gregory in the AR space, so be sure to go back and check when you get the time!
I love how the whole community has been buzzing about Matt accidentally skipping a section here. Time to see what went wrong 😂 Glad the game has chapter select.
its very surprising because i assumed due to the AR element the game would only load rooms a chapter at a time, the maintence entrance mustve been the transition point between chapters and been either above or below where they were so the AR teleporting bugged out
If I had to guess, you're not supposed to be able to put on the mask in that area. I think that, because he tried putting on the mask in an area caged off from mask use, the game teleported him to the next available area for the mask, skipping that whole section.
I’ve been waiting for this specific part to come up but of course only matpat could find a way to miss the chica mini game and also teleport through time and space to skip a big chunk of game/lore lmao
I can't wait to see Matpat's reaction to what he did miss and what happens at the end and near it. This is a rollercoaster of a game, and the ending really got my gears grinding
The reason the game skipped a section is because it’s probably the most lore important section in this dlc and they made matpat skip it because he was gonna solve it and ruin steelwools next Fnaf game
I find it interesting that you watch Roxy clearly walk through the irl walls you can only pass through with the mask on when she's lured away by Gregory's voice on the security cameras. It's shown she still relies on sound to find you and can't ‘see/scan’ her surroundings through the new system or she wouldn't be so obsessed with getting her eyes back and she doesn't recognise your not Gregory until you touch her and/or speak (not sure if it's one or both) Cassie was looking at the security feed wearing the mask when you see her do it, yet could see the glitched world clearly as if she was viewing it directly via the mask (or linked into the system) not watching the footage via a screen.
I just made a connection to the books pls up vote so matpat sees helpi has 2 color eyes blue and yellow when he has yellow eyes he appears to be corrupted he is also connected to everything in the pizza Plex this is very similar to tiger rock just a thing I thought of while playing the game
Ruin is definitely more lore focused than security breach and you could miss so much by simply looking in the wrong direction or missing one tiny robot/collectible. I really hope Mat finds everything because it would prove so many things right, but to do that it would require he go back again to previous chapters because he already missed somethings. Edit: Also forgot to mention the teleport bug at the 25 minute mark that caused him to skip a massive section of important gameplay
This is the only way I experience FNAF. I watch Matt play the games, I watch him theorize on them, and that's it. I never play them myself or read the books, or anything.
I did the same, and I have now tried ucn and if you are thinking of playing the games I recommend it, mainly because it is 100% free unlike the rest of the games
I was watching Markiplier's gameplay of Ruin when I noticed he was playing a part of the game I never saw when I played, turns out I accidentally did that glitch and missed a whole part of the game ;-;
So frustrating to see the single glitch skip the more lore filled and interesting part of the mid-game. This will probably raise a lot of questions and confusion going forward.
@@nebojsavelickovic5388at least the dlc makes it incredibly clear where you're supposed to jump with the yellow paint. I don't recall if the base game did this
@@nebojsavelickovic5388 "The game wouldn't let you do that" buddy a bunch of barrels at the bottom of stairs with no way back up and a dead end is clearly the incorrect way to go. No game developer, even not very good ones like steel wool, would ever make that the correct way to go
I am sad he accidentally skipped the Cassie lore section but I’m sure he’ll go back and play it again ^^ I do hope he records himself playing it so we can see his reaction to the parts we want him to see
Me too! When I saw him enter Bonnie Bowl I was hoping he uncovered that secret. Now I am sad, because I thought he deactivated all the little yellow bots.
The early promotional material for Chica for the fazbear restaurant had her shown eating stuff or at least implying that she eats stuff, with the bib and all. The Mimic program probably saw this and then inferred that it too should be eating stuff as to be a good Chica.
38:12 Fun fact if you had the Vanny Mask on when the Staffbot fell, instead of him repeating "Do you need assistance?" Over and over again, The Staffbot says things like "Find Me!" "Hurry" "Im scared" in Gregory's voice.
I actually think there's also just a random rare chance where the head drops off instantly and Gregory says "Cassie is that you, I've been trying to reach you."
About the Cleaning Bots "Patpats", Dawko with official support from Steel Wool said that if you get all of them, the last one being in Bonnie Bowl, you unlock something. HOWEVER, it's currently bugged if you use the chapter select. So, you gotta get them all in one run from the beginning if you want that secret. Also, for another secret, you have to use the zoom out on the cameras. Try them all, see what you can see. NO SPOILERS beyond that.
@@starryfall- I've watched the whole thing he missed 2 already :/ and well this is not fair, but he just missed 2 more on each side of Roxy salon stairs, but that's not his fault the game charitably skip him forwards
I really cannot wait for Scott to say that fnaf is finished, and sit down with Matt and actually talk about everything bouncing round Matt's head for the last decade 🤣
Just thought id chime in, at 25:20 when you got teleported, you missed some Roxanne and Cassie lore. It may be worth restarting chapter 5, which will put you just after the spot you got teleported from, and give you a more complete picture of the story.
I was dieing when he didn't go back to check the room with the plush babies that disappear, the door didn't open because he had the mask on when he checked it

For anyone that is seeing all the comments about Matt skipping a huge section in the game: Skip to 25:06. Spoiler below: It's the section where Cassie meets Roxy at the salon and has to deactivate the security nodes there, all the while holograms can be seen showing Cassie hanging out with Roxy, comforted by Gregory, and then her crying at the sight of the Missing posters with Gregory's face on them.
The maps must have glitched at around the 25 minute mark cause it skipped over a huge chunk with Roxy and right to the log flume section... super unfortunate.
A few things that matpat might want to do is 1-Go back to the Chica area where he did not have time to look around 2-Find a way to reset to before he teleported 3-Make sure he checks for any hidden camera on the camera monitor 4-Make sure he kills all signs It’s really unfortunate that a big section got skipped but maybe another play through or going back to auto save in the chica area may help and allow matpat to look at the stuff he missed.
I know we're all freaking out because Matt unintentionally missed a big lore implication through a glitch, but my first thought is just, "Well at least it saves speedrunners a lot of time with this new advantage!" lol
@@AtharvaShekatkar We get a bit more context on Cassie and Gregory's friendship, as well as why Roxy is Cassie's favorite, making a later moment in the game more powerful, and I believe Chica also exhibits some odd behavior.
so after it was mentioned again, i did a quick search on the uses for sulfuric acid and its actually very versatile in its use-cases but the one i saw that stands out the most is used in maintenance as rust remover. its more likely just a piece of set dressing for the environment, but its also oddly specific that they label it when many chemicals come in similar rectangular cans
Really interesting to me that the only one lured by Gregory is Roxy, everyone else doesn't care if it'shi or Cassy it seems. Really shows her feelings aren't violent towards everyone I think, at least not Cassie.

I love how the other animatronics are led around by Cassie's voice as a lure. But Roxy is angry at Gregory for what he did to her so it uses his voice as a lure instead.
Like everyone said, an insane chunk of the game was skipped - from Markiplier's gameplay (where he doesn't look at the lore in every room) about 12 MINUTES of the game where actual cutscenes happen
Being able to hear chica’s lines from security breach when you have the mask on is a really nice detail, like how you could hear sun when you had the mask on and moon when the mask was off
i find it interesting that roxy grabs cassie but lets go when she hears her voice, think it might be because she was looking for gregory and when she found it wasnt gregory she let go and said sorry as she is still made to be around children, really cool game design. and ofcourse mat skins large points of lore in security breach lmao
You guys skipped a major sequence with Roxy and some Cassie/Gregory lore when you teleported from the stairwell to the basement. There’s also collectibles and the wet-floor bots there so it’s probably going to change what ending you get
I’ve always just assumed that chica’s insatiable hunger was like phantom limb pain. It just seems like a psychosomatic response to losing her body when her soul was transferred into an animatronic, so it could be she’s just feeling echoes of bodily functions she once had (or now that the lore has changed, an ai learning the human behaviors of eating to mimic hunger, as her character was always SUPER focused on the eatery side of Fazbear Entertainment, so most of the behaviors she observed would be eating, building a perspective of rampant gluttony since when she observed humans, they were always shoveling food into their mouths; her going for garbage then falls to the bad programming, as though she observed what humans did, she never observed patterns with what they did or did not eat). It seems so sad to me, since whether you look at old or new lore, she clearly wants so bad to fulfill a human need, but since she is an animatronic, she’ll never satiate that hunger.
or the person she had her ai learn from was poor and couldn't afford the food there, so the human would eat out of the garbage cuz that's all they could get, so chika learned from that.
I assumed it was because as a character she was always the one who liked pizza, was in the kitchen a lot, had a bakery, etc. And with how haywire all their minds went she just went turbo on that trait and started eating everything.
I feel like a steel wool employee will watch this series, ready to see what good old matpat has to say about their story this time, just to see this glitch and then cry in the corner quietly.
Well you skipped the introduction to Roxy in the saloon due to the glitch that occurred. This also resulted in you not deactivating more floor bots and thus not being able to explore certain easter eggs.
Your reaction to the music men was exactly what I expected lmao. Its fascinating to hear your takes on everything so far. I'm surprised by your lack of reaction to the Foxy area tho. Seems like a big deal to me.
I've come to believe in the Faz-AR is really "Alternate Reality" instead of the usual "Augmented Reality", since it would closer balance the weird interchangability of reality, AR, and VR in this game and the books
Whatever happened at 25:06 caused you to skip quite a large section of the DLC. Might want to reload an earlier chapter. Just wanted to put this here incase they don't see the other comment saying this. :)
Matt you absolutely need to replay this section. There’s so much you missed about 25ish minutes of gameplay by putting your mask on there for whatever reason, you missed Roxy’s first moment in plus much more lore
I like how Chica’s voice is restored in the mask, but when it’s off Chica reverts back to not having her voice back, whoch means she’s connected to the network
I love how mat already knows about "Gregory's" true motives, but completely skips on 47:41 when clearly that's not Gregory talking. Could be Vanny..... Could be Charlie, but it is highly suspicious how Gregory wants you to destroy all security firewalls. They must want the A.I code to be able to travel mainstream without the security nodes keeping them at bay. Also it's strange that the security node icon is a bunny outline insinuating that Vanny is possibly not the bad guy.......BUT HEY THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A GAME THEORY!
All I want to know is what Matt thinks about the very casual and very strange quest reminders that appear on the pause screen. My favorite is one from Bonnie bowl that says “I’m lonely”
seeing tom and matpat convince themselves they didnt skip the part they skipped is both funny and painful lol also matpat, its an inhibtor not an interceptor lmao
