What a great detailed review! And awesome playing. I’m a huge Rabea fan and also someone eagerly awaiting for his import Sterling model next year. If they get anywhere near the quality of these EBMMs, it’ll be a truly great instrument. Cheers from England 🏴
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words 😄. I’m stoked to see the color options on the Sterling models! I hope they are fantastic 😎. Cheers! 😄. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful review! Thank you so much for the transparency! It is refreshing to hear the honesty and not just sugar coating the instrument like so many channels do. The guitar itself is gorgeous - price wise...yeah the guitar market needs to calm down
love EBMM flame maple necks. awesome that you got one. I have a regular saber (with flame maple) and I don't think I'd 'upgrade' to the signature although I do think I'd prefer his neck carve. Beautiful guitar and great playing, really dug the cleans you demo'd.
Regarding the arm in and out, double check if there is a set screw on it like the gotoh 510s have, there will be a small screw to keep the arm in place on systems like that, and it might be pressed in. Nice video man, and great guitar.
Just remember that from a structural standpoint, the neck carve can't be smaller as it moves away from the nut. But it can be as minimal of a taper as possible. And that's what they've done. The neck on my Sterling Cutlass CT50 HSS is very similar, and it's just stellar. They may have told Bea that it's this, that, or the other thing? But in the end, it can only be what it is. You just can't have more mass at the nut than the heel. It will be too unbalanced and break way easy.
Cool video! The toolmaker in me can appreciate the time it takes to carefully measure the neck without leaving marks but it has more to do with the actual feel than a few thousandths of an inch, here and there. I almost bought a regular Sabre but the neck was too thin for my liking and the tremolo wasn’t for me. I tried a Jason Richardson 6 at the store and liked the overall feel but ordered the 7 and a set of BareKnuckle Warpig (Alnico) pickups for it. Part of me wishes I ordered it with a maple fretboard but the headstock wouldn’t match the body.
Thank you! Haha yeah it was my first time so I did leave a little mark 😅. I agree though. The feel is more important. Ooo nice! Which color did you get for the JR 7? I looked at the purple one for a little bit but he has some sweet color options on his guitar! Do you like the Warpigs as well?
@@bjackson4 You’re welcome! I got mine in the Empress White, it slightly exceeded the four month lead time but it was totally worth the wait. The Warpigs are my favorites, had them in an Ibanez Prestige (S) 7 but I rehomed it for the Richardson.
Stunning and sounds great! Midra himself would approve this guitar. BTW if you have not heard Song of Midra Lord of the Frenzied Flame go check it out!
@@bjackson4 Listen till the end, Elden Ring is what inspired the finish on that guitar, the music is incredible! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xtH9FW-emLo.htmlsi=BIJKXoE9YIiPMErr
I think the "beer" thing is confusing if you have an American accent - in an English accent, it lacks the, uhh, "hard R" 😅 So you'd be pronouncing it more like "bee-uh".
