@Kaptin Swindletoof Gobsmack I totally agree with you Beauty is part of the Catholic Faith , it reflects God. He created us with the capacity to create beautiful music, beautiful buildings and much more. We have to cherish what we have.
@@yarosyari3516 Beauty does not belong to all religions but it does belong to Catholicism. The reason being is that Everything about Creation is beautiful and perfect. We can see the hand of the Creator through the perfection in Nature. HE has given us the creative possibilities of making music, writing poetry and using the most beautiful words to create our prayers to Him. He has given us the capacity to love and through love towards Him we have created beautiful buildings where we can worship Him .

In a sense this music is beautiful, in another sense its drawing ones soul into emptiness. When I was 13 years old, I spent a week at a summer school camp with a number of other young people. On new year's eve, about 200 of us decided to stay up and do one thing: Call on the name of the Lord Jesus. From about 9:30pm until well after midnight, we called on the Lord, we shouted and praise the name of the Lord Jesus without ceasing. I'm now 38 but this memory is still clear in me and that wonderful feeling of being filled with the Spirit. It wasn't anything religious, there were no formalities, we simply called on the Lord and praised the Lord until our hearts were on fire. That is the only way I can describe it. After that experience I wanted to separate myself from anything of the world. The worldy music, the entertainment, the things in life I once longed for, I wanted it all gone for I had found this treasure in the Lord Jesus. I'd had this experience of life, peace and joy. I wanted complete separation from all other things. Then reality set in again and I had to return to school and the burdens of life. It was like I had been to the top of the mountain, now I had to come down again. The weight of human life and the emptiness of the world returned to me, but I never forget that experience. At the time of writing this I'm feeling down and looking for comfort in my soul. How many times do we go through this in life? But deep within I've also learned not to trust how I feel, in a sense. I know its there, I know it feels real, the temporary emptiness, the longings for satisfaction and peace, but something else is also present. It's this faith that has been imparted into me through the living word of God. Now I'm learning to depend on him, read the word and speak with him, even if its in a gradual way. Lord I'm feeling low right now, please strengthen me. Lord I don't know how to be a Dad, please help me. Lord I don't know how to get through this day at work, would you please be with me. In John 4:14 you said 'But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water I give becomes in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life'. Lord you are this living water. I want to drink of you right now. I'm not looking for any feeling or miracle, but I take your word and open my being for you to fill me. So far as I can see, this is the way to get through, even all the difficulties of life. I'm a learner at this. I believe you can learn as well. Let me finish with these verses and may this be an encouragement to you, no matter how you're feeling right now. We can always call on the name of the Lord, at any time and in any place. There is no need to wait for a feeling. He is willing and able to forgive our sins through his precious blood and open the way for us to approach him with boldness to enjoy all that he is. 2 Corinthians 4:7-10 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not out of us. We are pressed on every side but not constricted; unable to find a way out but not utterly without a way out; Persecuted but not abandoned; cast down but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the putting to death of Jesus that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. Amen.

We have been predestinated for this glory and called to this glory. We are being transformed into this glory and will be glorified with Christ and bear the glory of God for God's expression in the New Jerusalem." I believe we will be there together, bearing the glory of God. Much grace to you beloved in the Lord. Amen

Furthermore, more than one scholar has noted that Mohammed spent 3 days putting prisoners to death, namely, those who couldn’t pay a heavy ransom. And saying it’s fine to marry a nine year old girl who hasn’t even fully developed yet is insane. But that’s not all Mohammed did. While Mohammed sanctioned polygyny, he limited the number of wives a Mohammedan could have to four, but let it be known that “god”” had given him permission to have any number of wives he wanted. He had an adopted son named Zaid. He saw that Zaid’s wife Zeinab was beautiful, and Zaid saw that Mohammed wanted her. Arabs at the time viewed adoption as a real family tie, so the idea that Mohammed would take his adopted sons wife was anathema to them. So, what was Mohammed’s answer? Well, it was time for a new revelation! He was given this msg by his angel - right on time 😉- Surah 33 reads, “And when Zaid had fulfilled her divorce, we joined with her in marriage, that there might hereafter be no offense to believers in marrying the wife of their adopted sons after divorce.” How convenient. Now, as to your objection about God the, Father, Holy Spirit and Son, we are made in God’s image. The Christian concept of God is a God of Love. But Love is nothing without someone of equal value to love. Thus, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father, John 14:26. Likewise, the union of Love produces fruit, in this case, the only begotten Son of God. You see, God is not a Tyrant, a One and only Allah! But Love, flowing outward, first, in Spirit, and then revealing Himself in flesh and blood as Jesus Christ, who was prophesied to in a myriad of prophecies written hundreds of years before His birth. And, yes, because God is holy, something must pay for our sins. Scripture says sin brings forth death. Thus, Christ essentially exchanged His life for ours, that, through His blood we might have new life. That’s why He said, “No one comes to the Father but through Me,” John 15:26. Jesus Christ never killed anyone. Mohammed killed/murdered a lot if people, virtually anyone who didn’t hold him up to be their “prophet.” Where Jesus said, Luke 6:35 “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.” What, in contrast, does Mohammed say? Excerpt K 9:005 Set 33, Count 91 ...slay the idolaters wherever you find them...take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush...” Now, you can believe whatever you want. I wasn’t always a committed Christian. What I wanted, more than anything, was the truth about God. I needed solid evidence, though. There’s no solid evidence that Mohammed was anything more than greatly, sadly, deceived, which led to the killing and rape of many. If you’re interested in solid evidence for Jesus Christ, you might begin with a book called “More Than a Carpenter,” by Josh McDowell. Without Jesus Christ, you will pay for your own sins, and the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, Romans 6:23.

I feel so detached from the rest of my family regarding the things I enjoy. Despite being an atheist, I always enjoy sacred works like these ones. My favourite is the sacred choir works of Vivaldi, The hymn of the Cherubim of Tchaikovsky and Requiem of Mozart. Just Celestial. I feel as if I am the weird one when people look at me strangely when I say I enjoy this music. Opera and classical music evoke feelings like no other music. Unfortunately, few people understand me. Actually only one does. My teacher and I am thankful I met a person like him. He reminds me of myself in so many aspects. I don't know why I wrote all these but I just felt a sudden urge to talk. Thank you. Note: I would like to thank you all for your support. I am so happy to be able to connect with each one of you through this marvelous music. I feel quite better now- alone but not that lonely. Thank you again. I wish you the best in life.
Lady Olga, there are many of us who enjoy these beautiful songs, so in that regard, we are listening with you. Always keep the music in your life, for it could be the closest thing to magic we have.
It truly is a deeper sense of reality. The metaphysical is real. Nothing comes from nothing; there is something; therefore, there was never nothing. This something could not bring itself into existence, because to do that, it would have to exist before it existed, which is impossible. Therefore, something else has to bring it into existence. This Being all men call God.
This mix is absolutely divine! I play music for my pets to fall asleep to, it helps relax them. And this mix had them sleeping for the entire hour! Great stuff. Really changed the atmosphere of my home.
That is beautiful. There are few who appreciate religion more than the convert. Their faith is always one of the deepest. God bless and may peace be with you.
There was a period of time where I felt distanced from the Lord and had lost faith almost completely. Now I trust in God and pray as much as I can, I have reconnected with Him and every day I try to make God proud of me and the strength I show to keep on pushing even during my worst moments in life. He has the power to bring people out of darkness and I think that is truly beautiful. You can feel His power through this music--this is what brings people together, no matter what religion you are a part of.
It's been 4 months since my ex girlfriend broke up with me. I am a strong guy but she left me without closure, sorta ghosted me. It was really painful. I managed to pick myself up and when I listened to this music, I feel so empowered again. It's like the closure I was looking for and things look beautiful again. Thank you so much. :)
Try reading the Bible, say any prayer to God as you know Him, and go to any local church. Combined with this wonderful music, you'll feel even better then.
@@rufyneryco9670 This is Dan OT. You texted me obviously in error. I never said anything about "greatness", as you said. Re-read my comment. Get your shit together and text the right person.
God wants you to be a catholic and worship him through His son with catholic faith, in catholic church outside which there is no salvation. Please check out vaticancatholic.com and watch videos and make steps to conversion.
@@Arltratlo The answer is simple. To build a cathedral with cold tools requires thousands of man hours and dozens of workers. Some people spent their entire lives building cathedrals.
Iam a muslim and find a peace upon words when i listen to this, i keep listening every night to calm and even sometimes when im talking to my lord, after all these are chants made for the almighty , and we worship the same god, the only god. The most porwerful, love you all and hope you find peace with your creator ❤
I’m more or less an agnostic - I believe in a higher power, just not specifically God - but I will say old churches have a very spiritual feeling. Can’t explain it, but when I was in an old church in the Netherlands, I almost felt the power of God. Ever since then I’ve believed a little bit more.
You are gnostic my friend. As are true Templars. You are not alone. @raza no mosque plays this music because it's purpose is to create dis-harmony. Remember that Christ followed no religion.
Mas de la Creu Whoa! Jesus absolutely did follow a religion. He was a Jew. He followed Judaism. His death and resurrection began a new religion, but he himself was a devout Jew. Just the facts.
Does not matter if Jesus was a jew or not, Christianity is the strongest belief culture in the world. Our ancestors fought very hard to accomplish this. Christianity is the apogeus of mankind. Every other culture is just downhill from ours, both in values and morals and economic and societal strength. The day Christianity ceases to exist, is the day humanity stagnates and no longer pursues cognitive evolution, and purely await death on this planet. Christianity is the only culture that can lead us a better future, both in this planet and possibly other planets. Soon, even Mars will become Christian. Most other religions on earth only pursue the death of others. And contempt themselves at that, there is no evolution in those cultures, only de-volution. Religion is not all about God, but it's most about culture and how society runs and operates. And thus far, our society, (western) has shown to be the most prolific in human evolution, in something short of 200 years, we wen't from the beginning of the industrial ages, all the way to space ages, no other culture can boast on that accomplishment. Christianity and it's ethnicity have proved to be the apogeus of mankind for over 2018 years (date of the birth of Christ, son of God). Long live Christianity and it's evolutionary prowess.
@@coolgangster91 What are you talking about outdated??? We are the largest religion in the world. Just Catholics are 1.6 billion, Orthodox around 400 million, Protestants around 600 million, and that's not even counting Mormons, JWs, and other deviant sects
It will be far more beautiful than this, Cade. Heaven is eternal. There is no dimension of time as we know it here on earth. No hours, minutes, seconds, no tempo, just constant angelic, saintly praise to God. No major or minor, it will be far more superior than earthly music because God is so much higher than mere man. Blessings to you, Cade.
Thanks Jose blessings to you as well everything you just said is so true your exactly right this cathedral music is a little example of what heaven may sound like but it will be so much more beautiful in heaven
Lakeia, on this youtube channel you can see catholic chants sung by monks in their daily lives: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zTZfH8lJrVw.html&t=141
i see a lot of people in the comments talking about how in awe they are of the church choirs, despite their religion. i find that beautiful, but it makes so much sense when you think about it. this music, in its purest form, was written to reflect and praise the awesome power of God, the ultimate celestial power, that we humans can only wish to understand. think of this music as a bridge to the spiritual and the divine. whether you're religious or not, no matter what you believe, the sentiment of the sublime is one that translates to us all. we all try to understand our mortal existence on this planet, and we all cope with our mortality and futility in different ways, but at the end of the day, we are all subject to the sublime. it's no wonder that the music of the sublime, created in the image of God, for some the only rational explanation to our being, touches us.
It really does.. For me, this music is fascinating. I mean I can't find a word to describe my feelings. (Also, I'm Muslim.) EDIT: By the way, Happy Easter everone!! Althrought, we don't celebrate but still. :D
Imagine this being played loudly on the east side of a mountain as the sun rises. I want to be buried on the east side of the mountain, if this could be played during my funeral, loudly.. That would be a beautiful service..
@Steven H You have no validation to speak about reality, when you come from a religion that actually modifies it to the agenda of an hierarchy full of fear and ignorance. If somone neglects reality, are the ones that literally can see fossiles and yet call the earth younger than one million years or to believe it was created in days. I'm free from your lies, happy and strong. God is men creation to give answers they can't give themsleves. Science has not limited religion, but religion to science and logic. Better to see than to believe, humanity needs facts not beliefs.
@Steven H Religion has men in it. Look around, african black gods, jews and germanic white and so on. Men makes culture, culture makes civilization, and then power.
41:44 Catholic Hymns - Pange Lingua Gloriosi - you just have to stop and put your pen down and listen to this, in my life I've never heard anything this good
Honestly I felt like I wasn’t meant to be on this earth I’m not saying I want my life to end. But I feel as if I was supposed to be something more in another life listening to this video. Made me feel at home.
See you in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ sister🕊 “we as believers are not of this world” I don’t know what your belief is now, but this could be a sign of God wanting you to take his hand now.
If you’re interested in solid evidence for Jesus Christ, you might begin with a book called “More Than a Carpenter,” by Josh McDowell. But you can believe whatever you like. Without Jesus Christ, you will pay for your own sins, and the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, Romans 6:23.
This is some of the most comforting music ever! I love it! I went to Rome and many different parts of Europe and visited many cathedrals and just loved it! Almost wish I could have grown up during those day of the renaissance. As a Christian I am thinking this is what Heaven sounds like, but I know Heaven will sound so much better that we can’t even imagine! Yet nothing compares to what Christ Jesus did for us on the cross for our salvation/redemption! He paid our full debt of sin once and for all “perfect justice and no greater demonstration of Love” by the one and only God “Trinity” 1 God, 3 Persons! “Eternal Love” Glory to God Almighty!
I’m a Roman Catholic who attends the Traditional Latin Mass. if you think this music is lost in history, remember; beauty is objective, and therefore timeless. We’re bringing the beauty, truth and Goodness of this music back, and the only reason this music existed is because Jesus Christ working with the Holy Ghost gave this to us. Pax Christi ✝️
This is the defenition of peace... We are humans..we have emotional connections and vaste imaginations...with this i feel connected to every race out there.. We can't let religion cut us off from each other.... A word from a Muslim... God bless you all
@Ronin Revolution i had to say that ..my thought stands around the idea that there are things affecting us the same way no matter how different we are ..no matter where we come from .. for example mariage atmosphere makes everyone happy ..death makes everyone sad..inside of us we re made the same way ...thanks you for passing by reminding me of this piece..i m having a bad time and this music should help ..take care you :)
@D Lucifer John 14:6 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
I've been raised Catholic, and even though I have no connection with the faith anymore, and am now Jewish, I still am drawn to the music and architecture like a moth to a flame. It's just so incredible how much culture is behind Christianity that a lot of people unknowingly don't take time to notice and appreciate.
@@lamidom the following of Islam is the true salvation, Christianity and Judaism are modified. Jesus is not the son of God , you have invented it. How God would have sons , that is just for mortals.
@@walidechchafnaje9812 The God of the Bible can have what He pleases, even having a son and send it to us to testify of Him. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Jesus His son said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".
@Mr Culec Sorry, I meant to answer this sooner. I'll try to answer to answer it as quickly as possible. I questioned my religion. Parents, teachers and priests wouldn't answer me. When I became a confirmed Catholic, they still wouldn't answer me. I felt like the Church didn't care for me. I left the Church. Started learning about different religions. Became attracted to Deism as a philosophy. Almost became a Wiccan, but then thought that was silly. Started going to a Reform Jewish synagogue close to my house. The first day I went, the Rabbi said that questioning your faith is key to being connected with G-d, as it strengthens our bond with Him when we discover how important our relationship with Him is. This obviously connected with me. When I questioned the Rabbi about Judaism, he didn't always give me the answer I expected, or the one I wanted, but he actually tried to answer my questions, which is more than my priest ever did for me. I became friends people my age there, and I actually felt like I was part of a community. I never got that when I was a Catholic. Since then, I've been trying convert to Judaism, because the community spoke to me. I guess my conversion was more along the lines of finding a loving community than it was trying to find myself spiritually, but I've never been happier, and I live a good, moral life, so in my eyes, that works out just as well.
@@ryandoherty4291 I'm sorry you went through that. I am christian and I am questioning my beliefs as well, and thankfully the people around me are willing to answer. I am blessed that I was born into a good christian community that helps each other out.
I'm not super religious but when it comes to music like this, it really tells a story. I can almost picture myself stepping into an ancient cathedral and thinking about its history.
To find the history of cathedrals: Cathedrals are old world tech. Research Tartaria, old world, mudflood, ancient tech and more. Possible start @ Martin Liedke, Justin Pavlak, Wise up, Jon Levi, Lorra, Mind Unveiled, stuffed Beagle, UAP and friends. Good luck for your possible history-awakening. Greets from Ostfriesland
If you’d like to listen to these ‘lost’ songs, the go to your nearby Catholic traditional latin mass. Look for the ‘Solemn (or sung) mass’. Most will play these same sacred songs (and similar) depending on the liturgical season. Note, a ‘low mass’ will not have any singing.
Music so sacred & divine that it doesn't matter whether you understand the language or not. The harmonies themselves speak to the human soul. Peace & Love to all who listen here...
During these stressful times this music is like a balm so my soul. During good times this music is like a warmth in my soul. I'm hungering for something this world cannot give. I know that sounds weird but I know we're only a tiny speck in the universe and we're here for a reason. I love you all.
there is good evidence for Jesus Christ. Ask God to show you and take the courage to stand in the light of Christ who said, 16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His [a]only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
I am no Christian, but this still makes my heart yearn for the golden age of my faith, to be able to hear the hymns and prayers of thousands sung aloud in temples to the Gods.
That could be a calling, you know? God is recruiting true soldiers of love to guard His temple. He waits patiently, like that book waiting to be opened and read.
The church and more specifically the Catholic Church has given so much to humanity. Beautiful cathedrals, art, music, education ect. Devoted to social problems by ending slavery in many areas. Service to the poor. Historically preserved the old Roman architecture and Latin literature for hundreds of years. United a continent for the most part and steered humanity to less violence and addicting pleasures of the flesh. It truly gave and gives humanity a purpose and betters everybody who participates in it.
Betters everybody who participates in it? How about the numerous priests that raped children? Did it better them? What about the children that were raped? Did they come out on top here? How about catholic missionaries telling poor people in 3rd world countries that to use any kind of birth control is a grave sin? Did those parents and all the children they had simply for that reason end up better off? Of course not. Nothing betters everyone who participates in it, especially religion.
@@joshleenall it’s easier to be a skeptic about value structures than it is to create them yourself. And yes form an historical perspective more people have benefited from the church then have not. I like how you pretend the church doesn’t condemn those rapes! And it’s not immoral to not use contraceptives.
@@joshleenall There have indeed been some abuses carried out by unscrupulous religious figures but in the main the Church has been a force for good. We can say the same about the teaching profession, care homes and even doctors where a child or a patient's trust has been betrayed. Unfortunately, it's always the bad ones we read about in the press.

Once, I felt really nervous. Very sad, too. I was desperated. What to do with my life? I saw a church next to me and I went into. I sat there in the silence. After around ten minutes I said thanks. I felt clearly that, like in a hospital for the body, that was a hospital for mind and soul.
