This song is about 'manner, humility, and belief', which is really cool in Korean culture, wearing a traditional Korean instrument 'taepyeongso' and a traditional dress 'Hanbok'. The song that comes out at the end of the break dance is also traditional Korean music played by Taepyeongso. And Korean traditional clothing is completely different from Japanese kimono
KQ Entertainment really is the whole package. The choreographers/dancers, producers, songwriters, everyone involved in the video making and editing. Its like a dream team.
Fun fact: every time they perform "The Real", the dancebreak actually changes. The ones that dance in that part and the dance they make change, and we just love it because that way they remark the main message of the song: follow your own style to be cool😎.
I think especially the meaning of the Real is so ATEEZ coded. staying true to their beliefs, staying hunble and being kind. even non atinys have talked about just how incredibly kind they are and how they really don’t treat anyone like they are above them. earlier this year, there has been an award show that was a complete mess and not safe, because people were so packed, they couldn’t move and were super thirsty and a few of the members but especially Hongjoong were seen and the side of the show talking to staff members to help and even got their own staff involved to help. i truly truly believe that they are as kind as they are talented 🤍
I think Lore-wise, this has to do with Yeosang being trapped in Universe Z when the cromer broke, and Ateez somehow got him back home when the light in the sky opened a portal. I don't know the details, but I think that's the simplified version. Lortinys help us out because I don't want to explain and give misinformation, lol. 😆
