If you think this dance is sensual your in for a shock when you see the live stages for cyberpunk and wake up. Unlike deja vu the song isn’t sensual, they are both bsides (no mv) so when I heard the song I was like ohhh cool songs and when they actually performed them I was like so this is what we’re doing with this. Both choreos are 10 times more sensual😮 (Cyberpunk is on the same album as guerilla and wake up is on the same album as bouncy)

(sorry I had to write this in a rush, so I might have some errors) The MV is made to stand alone without knowing about the lore, but there is storyline here. In this part of the diaries, Ateez from World A were transported by the cromer (hourglass that allows them to time travel and change dimensions) into World Z when they were attacked by guardians (the guys you see dressed in white and wearing chain masks like the one that Hongjoong shoots at the end of Bouncy, and that is shown at the end of Answer and Fireworks) trying to get the cromer. They turned the cromer and poof… they were in World Z. 3:05 The blue butterfly🦋is something you will see in a lot of Ateez MVs. In the lore, they are actually surveillance drones. You can see Seonghwa is on one of the tvs and another is showing billowing smoke. 3:20 This part is conjecture… The members are scanned and Yeosang's bars are significantly higher than the other two that are scanned. Yeosang is the one with the cromer, so we think the scans are looking for the cromer and showing he has it. Now they are on the run… but the scenes transition. 6:01 The bridge shows Black Pirate Hongjoong caught in the glass cage with someone looking at him (World A Hongjoong?). The transition to this scene also shows a lot of the lore related artifacts like the cromer. 6:59 That is the teaser for Turbulence. Recognize the broken cromer? You’ll see it again years later at the end of Crazy Form where they recreated the ability to time travel and change dimensions. In the lore at the time of Deja Vu, the members were almost captured by guardians in World Z. They escaped from the guardians and almost lost the Cromer. Yeosang grabs it at the last moment, turns it, and purposely breaks it. Everyone returns to World A (here and present time) except for Yeosang who remains behind. You can see a hand reaching out to him with a black sleeve which is one of the Black Pirates (some say Black Pirate Hongjoong). For when you react to Turbulence: Turbulence is the next MV in the timeline. Without knowing anything, it is a wonderful ballad of working through the pains of youth/life. You wouldn’t notice any lore, BUT… From a lore perspective, it shows Yeosang locked in a classroom and everyone is separately contemplating what has happened and will happen. Is Yeosang ok? What happens next… and then you see the airplane Yeosang has in the classroom and at Hongjoong’s feet about the same time the song takes a more hopeful tone.

And also "Ateez are pirates" means Halateez, their anarchist alter egos, are actually named Black Pirates in their lore. Halateez is not the official name but we started calling them that when they released Hala hala, and ateez themselves started using it. They just introduced themselves as pirates when they debuted before any lore diary entries have dropped. So they won't always be pirates in everything, but ofc they will still use the pirates concept since it's their most distinct signature concept. Every single song they release will have their lore or at least symbolisms of their lore in them, including bsides, japanese releases, stages, even competition stages like Kingdom, their choreos, their mascots(Aniteez), their difference in sounds and even their tour setlist is meaningful lore-wise. It's sooo complex if we go into detail. They first released their official lore diary entries in the Fever albums. With the diary films and Inception. Only when we read it, everything they showed in the Treasure series mvs started to make sense. But it's still very difficult to understand their full lore even with the entries and films.🤯 When you check out their latest japanese release Not Okay, u will see many callbacks to inception. I wonder how many of the callbacks u'll notice even if those are vague ;) Sorry for commenting a lot haha i'm just too excited!

Not related to ATEEZ, but I feel like to comment here. When I first watch your ATEEZ's reaction, Valen seems someone who is easy going, the one who have more idea and lead the conversation. Theo seems like get all the info and follow Valen but the more I watch you guys, I can see Theo so hyper and funny guy. 🤣 And Valen seems like just playing along with his craziness.
