ATEEZ has Universe A(Pirate King, Say My Name, Hala Hala) and Universe Z(Guerilla, Bouncy, Crazy Form) Inception is in between dimensions. ATEEZ stated Fever Series, which Inception is a part of is like a transition/Prequel to Worlds A & Z. Halazia is a Spin-Off from their entire Lore, so it's neither A nor B. So the difference in sound and vibes is for that reason! ATEEZ explores a lot of new sounds during the Fever Era and it's a nice mix of light and dark like you said!

in terms of the lore, inception (and thanxx) were part of the prologue to all of the fighting the government stuff, exploring the characters of the members before they got involved with strictland! so yes it’s different lol!

So… their storyline is extensive and is woven into almost EVERY MV, B-side, concert, and special stage. The only way to really delve into it would be to start from their debut double title tracks Pirate King and Treasure and work your way up. FIN: WILL World A Preview In summary, their storyline involves themselves and their doppelgängers from another dimension (the Black Pirates, which the fandom lovingly named Halateez after the MV Hala Hala). The dimensions are A and Z. In the Z dimension (Strictland), the people are suppressed and there is no freedom of expression or emotion. Halateez traveled to dimension A (using the Cromer which looks like an hourglass) and came to Ateez for help. There’s A LOT more, but that will get you started. LORE DISCLAIMER! DON’T BOTHER TO READ THIS UNLESS YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN THE LORE! There is the Zero Fever Diary Film that came out before and is tied to their Inception MV. It shows their beginnings in World A (our world) and how they got the cromer in the first place. The lore in the entire MV is explained in that film… otherwise, (and I disagree with some other comments) it IS just a love song to the average listener. Example: (I am Seonghwa biased so I know how storylines best.) In this MV, he is shown in a room covered in to-do lists. His character’s life (which incorporates the member’s real personalities) is one long to-do list. It is very structured and devoid of passion. In the diary film, it shows him coming as cross a girl dancing. She disappears and drops a bracelet that says ‘Be Free’. This is the catalyst for him to change his mindset. He is also the most aware member to things that are happening in their story line because of this. In the Halazia era which is a prequel to the the things that are happening later on in the storyline, he (his doppelgänger) once again follows someone only he notices and comes across the witnesses (the mini album Halazia is on is called From The Witness and you see them looking down at the ending scene from the Halazia video). There he also finds a ‘Be Free bracelet’. In the Say My Name MV where they meet face to face, Seonghwa’s doppelgänger is the first to reveal himself. There is a lot more. Literally a book of diary entries that came with their albums that you can find online. (Let me know if anyone needs help finding them!)

there are three series of their album TREASURE , FEVER and WORLD Fever series is the first series according to lore and the treasure and fever series belonged to Dimension A. world series is where they fight against government and they want freedom and it takes place in dimension Z . the story line is so good and the songs they release is all based on it... and actually ATEEZ rarely makes love songs... they talk about dreams in inception. You will understand the story if you watch it in order. they give a lot of hints in the MVs . the cromer(sandglass) helps them go to different dimensions...the universe is vast ,it cannot be explained..if u see each and every music video u can connect it...ATINYS ARE REALLY LUCKY to Stan a group like ATEEZ...

Inception is the start of their story, you can watch the 'fever diary' movie , and its MV connect with all the sub unit songs MV in their newest album Fin:Will The 'I'm in love' here does not mean to a person but their passion. They start craving for something that makes them finally start the journey *just my opinion 😅😊

I agree that Jongho's on another level (i actually consider him as one of the best vocalists in the industry), but Ateez overall have very strong & stable vocal line. Even their main dancer can compete with many other grp's main vocalists. They have won immortal songs 4 times for a reason (lip syncing isn't allowed there), you should definitely check out their latest immortal songs performance where Seonghwa sang a highnote while jumping off the table. Also, one music show PD make a whole show after being inspired from their live performance skills!

Haha the crazy instrumental part 😂 these threw me too when I started getting into kpop but now I wouldn't want it any other way as they bring so much to the live performances of the songs (especially when its an Ateez stage!) cos the dance breaks are so great!

The piratey stuff is more present in the Treasure series. The world series with their newer releases has also a very distinctive, futuristic, cyberpunk sound and the Fever series definitely has more of their mellow songs!

This album is actually the most important of their lore you should watch their diary films to understand them better but i can also write a short summary for you guys if you want!

The reason why there is not pirate thing in the video its bcs in the Lore they were normal teens before getting involve in all the pirate and fighting the goberment thing, they were singing to their dreams mostly bcs they life were not nice either 😭🖐

I suggest you to start the album's journey from the beginning at this point. From the first to the last, so you can see their evolution. Btw there isn't a bad album. When you'll react to albums, can you watch the MV when they are there?

Each group has its own universe, and this can also be studied. And it's better for you to start watching the bands from their debut and incrementally, otherwise you look at all the bands from the end to the beginning =) Then there would be more understandable in the concept. It's not that simple in K-pop. In groups that have their own universe, each clip has hints, Easter eggs, even a simple piece of paper on the table has its own meaning. And it would seem that the song is about love, and not at all about the love of a guy for a girl.

please react to unit mvs of recent album. you have reacted to matz already. the remaining ones - its you (yeosang,san,wooyoung), youth(yunho and mingi), everything(jongho) some other old mvs - the real,deja vu, fireworks, thanxx,eternal sunshine,illusion, wave,say my name, hala hala, etc

During the chorus there isn't really a harmony, it's just Seonghwa's voice on top of his own voice. But in the last chorus there is a harmonization between him and Jongho on the high note, it was perfect. I think it looked like BTS to you because BTS are your kpop references. Something I like to highlight whenever I see a reaction to this song, is how ATEEZ managed to make such a perfect bridge including all the members. I strongly recommend watching the Diary Film, if you are more curious about the lore. I'm sad that I've already watched all your videos about ATEEZ and now I need to wait. There are still so many things for you to discover... I'll be eagerly waiting.
