Her mini albums is where she can show off her versatility and it’s where she experiments the most with her sound and style. Her main albums however, are very much targeted towards the general population with a more familiar Kpop feel and sound to it and it’s why they do especially well with music charts (she herself charts very well). But basically, if she releases a full studio album, then she will most likely release a mini one after it.

For me, Taeyeon is one of the best at communicating the emotions behind a song. This is what really elevates songs like Gravity and Time Lapse. Hope you'll react to more Killing Voices like Exo and Red Velvet as it'll be interesting to hear your comments about their music production and vocals.

The song Happy has a bit of an interesting story to it. The short version is the release was going to be on her birthday as a special release kind of thing, but it ended up being delayed cuz the day it was going to be released(her birthday) her father had unfortunately passed away. So, there’s a bit of a different feeling to the song with that knowledge

Her 2008 OST song is her song. Girls Generation has been around since 2007. They are Queens and paved the way for many girl groups in kpop now.

just for context: she is known in korea as ''the OST queen'' because her OSTs are very successful in the country, even before she debuted as a soloist. So in 2008 her first OST, IF was a national hit, it even overshadowed the music of the group she was part of in the charts. Her songs are more singing-oriented, yes she has some upbeat songs but the majority of her discography is more ballads with big notes or chill songs. so it's not common for her songs to sound like ''kpop song'' because it's not something she likes, her influences are korean ballad singers, like K.will.

In October 2017, 3 members left company (SM Ent) but were still in Girls Generation. In August 2023, 1 member left the company but is still a member of Girls Generation. I listened to all of taeyeon's songs but i didn't listen to time lapse, after I saw live performance of time lapse in seoul concert in RU-vid I realized this song is one of the best songs of taeyeon with beautiful lyric, and l love time lapse as much as fine, ur, drawing all moments, she has wonderful songs, and I love her music so much

I cpuld listen to Taeyeon sing the Seoul Telephone Dorectory and be perfectly happy. I highly recommended Red Velvet's "Killing Voice" as well if you like this format. In 2019, Korean netizens voted RV as the group with the overall best discograhy in all of Kpop. And it's only gotten better.

After only 1 year after debuting with SNSD, Taeyeon had a hit OST called 'If'. Following that were very famous OSTs such as 'Can you hear you', 'I love you',... just in the first years of his career. Taeyeon can perform nearly any kind of song with excellence. I'm soon to be retiring (nearly 40 years in business) acoustic guitarmaker and I think that Taeyeon is similar to a (imaginary) perfect guitar that can do it all with outstanding tonal quality. Small but in perfect balance. No weak points. Exctremely rare. You'll notice that when you have heard her long enough. She's also a very smart singer who takes care of her voice. You can hear how she has changed her singing style from early SNSD time to more healthier direction nowadays. Sacrificed some power but gained agility and more stamina for long performances. You can see how musicians respect her in different situations, she's a top professional despite her relatively young age. I personally like straight, long and clean notes and doing the music, not showing off. Taeyeon is just like that.

You'll be more surprised by her versatility if you check all her discography including her groups song 😂 GOT the beat, SNSD, Oh GG,TTS and more you'll question yourself if this is Taeyeon?! heheh

When you have a great voice, with strong emotional delivery, you really don't need to overcomplicate things with bombastic instrumentation or production. Just let the artist tell the story, and we will all listen.
