lyrics aren't that crazy? lmao "but if i OD, i want you to OD right beside me i want you to follow right behind me i want you to hold me while i'm smiling while i'm dying" pretty crazy to me
Good choice to react to Faith. It's probably the best song on the album. The outro transitions perfectly into Blinding Lights which is the next song on the album.
I prefer After Hours but Faith is easily top 3. I wasn’t a big fan at first but once I knew what to expect it just kept growing on me. Now it’s my second favorite on the album
Damn, you should have done your own reaction! No reaction I've seen has got emotional at that part and when I first heard it I almost teared and I'm a grown man!
@@saralynn3445 yeah, that's The Weeknd for ya. When I first played Alone Again and the synth bass dropped in my car, I was sent to another dimension haha. Can't wait for the tour..... If it happens 😔
Wait... did dude just say the lyrics aren’t crazy and that it’s not doing anything? Brah... you need to go back a listen to this track over again.. the lyrics in this song are powerful.. wow. I’m shocked he said that.
Ike.O , I was on the way to hit the button subscribe and when he said that and I was like nah... no need .. 4.1 on the lyrics ..? Fuck you . Go hide in your duffel bag .. That’s why I did not subscribe to this channel . This album is a masterpiece 🔥🔥 hands down
Justfor RU-vid Exactly! I don’t know what song he’s listening to but “Faith” is dark and meaningful as hell. After Hours is still on repeat and it’s May 2020.
Faith is the best song of the album or at least top 3! I think you were reacting to the song more from a producers perspective because the lyrics were definitely significant bro.
@@juno2230 I don't think that's what he meant. The weeknd and drake had beef a while back and the line in sicko mode was "I did half a Xan, thirteen hours 'til I land…" meanwhile Weeknd is awake even after taking half a xan showing he's more stronger of sorts
@@Cruor i dont think it means he is stronger, he is showing his abuse, he has done so much drugs that xanax doesnt affect him any more, which tides up to him overdosing at the end and being ashemed of who he is
After Hours is the magnum opus. Argue all you want about what song is 2nd or 3rd place, but don’t bother trying to argue anything other than After Hours should be number 1, because that’s just objectively, factually, and scientifically INCORRECT.
BUGGING.. The lyrics were really deep prob one of the deepest in the album.. If you cant relate to it prob not your lifestyle but that like telling jay to stop rapping about wealth. That what they live and see everyday and the people that live this lifestyle say the weeknd says it the REALIST.
i honestly am super astonished of the production quality of the whole album, every song is a masterpiece, a lot of wonderful talent works with abel for the album and man its top notch. I wanted to remake this song but i dont even know how to start just wow
"something totally original that nobody's done yet" 😕?? Except for literally like every synthwave artists ever now! Don't get me wrong I totally love The new Weeknd album, as a synthwave fan myself I find it tremendously well done, but what sets itself apart from other immensely talented synthwave artists today is how he incorporates his voice with the dark synth/night drive tones. I am baffled by how many music producers do not recognize the sounds and tones from other amazing synthwave artists of today like Gunship, The Midnight, Starcadian or even John Carpenter himself. 😧
I am astonished by the fact that you gave a fair and a determined review, not like others who just have to be so cliche so that they get noticed. Great work man!
What kind of music producer reviews an album out of order? Abel is a genius. The album is a story and each track a chapter. The ONLY WAY to appreciate it is to listen to each track IN ORDER! Go back and start at the beginning otherwise you’re demonstrating real ignorance of the industry you claim to be an expert in.
You're saying the lyrics aren't crazy as if they aren't special or anything. Yet the lyrics got you feeling some type of way. Swear bruh's be acting some type of way in front of a camera.
You had me going in the first half, but then you had to make your uninformed opinion about the lyrics. Unless you had the lyrics in front of you, I doubt you heard everything that was said especially since the production makes it difficult to hear them. I know I need to listen at least a few times before I get the full gist of the song. It's okay to just say that you don't fully know what he's singing. That would make me trust you a bit more as a reviewer. As far as talking about sex and drugs, know that you've just listed two subjects which can become incredibly complex and mean different things to different people. It was a little cringe when you said that as if there wasn't a plethora of ways one could take on those huge subjects. All of R&B is about love. Yes, I can find a fitting word that sums up that genre, but actually it's quite complex once you delve into love and what it means to people and how it interacts with other things. By the way, not to beat a dead horse, but Faith is actually not a song primarily about sex and drugs--I don't think he mentions sex in the song and the drugs are used more as a backdrop and a catalyst to talk about deeper issues. I digress. I hope you continue to improve in your reviews.
