Fun facts: KZ prepared a different song for this episode and the arrangement for that song came from the Philippines. Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) decided last minute to change the song because they felt the song is not well known in China and asked KZ to perform 'Say Something' instead since this is one of the songs she performed during the audition that really left a mark on them. We had to fly Macoy (her guitarist) last minute for this and she only got to rehearse this song on the day of the recording but still delivered an awesome performance." Also KZ also received a Tweet from the original performers of the song, A Great Big World. The New York-based musical duo said, "Wow. @KZOfficial. Wow." Hope this info helps 😄. That guitarist is her personal guitarist that’s why they have connection. Also, she also has a day to arrange it and practice her performance if I’m not mistaken.

This performance is supposedly a last minute change. The story goes that she was asked to change her song choice for some apparent reason. She had to fly her friend in (the guitarist) immediately the day before the actual performance because she only have hours to prepare for this performance. I think that is the reason why the performance is very minimalistic compared to her other performance in this show but I think it played out well with the mood of the song. I'm not sure if it is true though but it was a fascinating story if it is true.

ethereal.... what with the clouds, and the sunset especially the angelic voice. it's something she did not plan to sing. had only about 6 hours to practice it with Macoy (who flew, asap, to china as soon as she called him.) - a good friend ... because the chinese did not want her to sing the Beatle song she prepared! The day before this performance, kz had a rough time because they had to change the song suddenly and had little time to prepare so she couldn't perform with the big band behind her and the only solution was one vocal and one guitar. So this is how it turned out. Super Amazing 😌💕
