The question is: Who hasn't sung Summertime? It's a beautiful song that's been covered a thousand times, and every rendition is a bit different. I've never heard these two do it until now, and this is stunning. Their musicianship is off the charts. Love the fact that they still have price tags dangling from their guitars.
It is being recorded in a great guitar shop. They took these off the walls and set up. I love this version too and these young men. George Gershwin wrote this for Porgy and Bess.
"Summertime" is from the 1935 opera 'Porgy and Bess.' It is a well loved classic that has literally been covered by hundreds and probably thousands of musicians. Jazz musicians especially love to cover it but all genres cover it. Janis Joplin has a killer cover of it for example. Ella Fitzgerald.
Interesting good guitar playing sounds like a little bit of jazz, there little sound of blue's sound's good, originally recorded by Abbie Mitchell, in 1935, it was also covered by BILLIE HOLIDAY, ELLA FITZGERALD, AND LOUIS ARMSTRONG, A great sound, easy smooth listening song, I would like to request a as I call'em a oldie but a goodie right, Jim, knows what I'm saying it's by Fats Domino, called "BLUEBERRY HILL" love the old music!! THANKS AGAIN
I loved both billy string and Marcus king. Try The Well by Marcus and instead of dust in a baggie, try Turmoil and Tinfoil. Marcus is rock, Billy is bluegrass.
