Morissette is the only vocalist in her generation who can carry a tune like this. Okay wait, there's Ariana Grande but Morissette is like the only one who gives me 90s diva vibes. Yeah, I can't really think of anyone else this young who can do a Mariah. Thanks for this reaction, Tyra!

The problem with Ariana is that she just went all in on wanting to be a pop star with songs that were utterly forgettable. She's is an amazing talent and could have done it like Mariah or Chistina Aguilera (with great songwriting complimented by her great voice) but instead we get mostly stuff that's on the charts and gone from memory in 5 minutes. We'll see how Morissette's career goes but I have the feeling she's not interested in that kind of life (hopefully) and will continue to try to do things that matter.

Morissette in her very first concert back when she's about 19 years of age already performed this live onstage as the latter 3rd part of a Mariah Carey medley. Since it was a medley, it was a bit shorter but she included most if not all of the highlights that can be found here in the studio version. I've heard people saying she sounds equally good (if not better) live. The audio isn't studio quality as the camera used by her dad wasn't built to record cleanly but after watching it several times, I'd say she sounds really amazing. The video can be found in a channel named Amay Amon. Just search for "Morissette Amon sings Mariah Carey Medley On Morissette Concert".

And she is one of those background vocalist's. Listen real close there is no mistaking her voice. I am sure it was a collaborative effort. These are all top of the line musicians irregardless of where they are stationed. Have you listened to Mariah sing this back in the day. Go see her 2006 Grammy performance of this song, to Mariah's credit she is one of the songwriters on this thing. When she sang it at the Grammy's, all the critics and the with it people said no other human being will ever sing this song that way. OOPS!!!! Somebody forgot to tell Morissette it was impossible, or maybe they did!!! Priceless!!! The Winner and New Champion Singer of the World, Mori!!!!!There is no other choice for the title.

The one on the bass is her long time musical director and the one on the keys is the writer of many of her original songs (Akin Ka Na Lang). They all work well together. Loved your reaction on this!!
