Awesome amigo! I always talk about a certain game OST that I've always felt was underrated; if you're still taking requests.. it'd be cool to hear your take for "Ape Escape - Cryptic Relics" (Also, Ace Combat music is sick)
I've seen a few musicians and composers get into ace combat music, its a very deep rabbit hole, but everybody I've seen listen to it has loved it. There's been several games, as far as I know all praised for excellent soundtracks, the one's I've played make use of orchestra, choir and guitar throughout their soundtracks. So much to get into with a large variety of stuff across music genres. I don't have much musical knowledge but I enjoy learning why the music of ace combat is just so good and seeing people that know what they are talking about enjoy it just the same. While I'm sure you've gotten a FLOOD of recommendations for other ace combat tracks once you've started on the soundtracks, but I'd like to recommend "Super circus" from Ace Combat 5, strong use of deep electric guitar, but still with orchestra, it has a very different tone to this track.
I can't wait for your reaction for Daredevil and Unsung War for the Ace Combat Series. I played these games when I was still a kid and listening to these just gives me a rush of nostalgia. This series was so underated due to its "unrealistic" gameplay. However, people didn't know they were missing out on one of the epic music. These kinds of music shouldn't be coming from these kind of games and is easily expected from epic movies, but there goes bandai namco with its Ace Combat Games. Thank God I experieced these first hand on the game's golden era ei, AC 4, 5 and Zero.
It’s context time: You, Strider 1 ‘Trigger’, are leading a squadron to stop an ICBM launch by aiming bombers towards the silos in order to blow them up before they launch. You only have half of your allies, as the other half were too damaged on the last mission. Anyway, you fly around, bombing both fake and real silos, until you finish. Your done- until they launch three other hidden ones. So what do you do? You chase them in the most logical craft to chase an ICBM in, a fighter jet! But since one of the many things Ace Combat is a power fantasy, you deal with them with ease.
Nice video, Magic Spear did jump to my mind as one of the ace combats tracks you might like. Definitely interesting to see being it explained and shown rather than just reacted to.
I'm glad you're enjoying these! There are lots of great Ace Combat songs to discover! If you look up ace combat S symphony stream, you will see the most popular ones. From there, you can choose one that you would like to take apart and boom! Banger video is certified!
I’m glad you are greatly enjoying the Ace Combat soundtracks! They’ve been some of my favorite game soundtracks out there since I’ve discovered them. For recommendations, I have three! Feel free to take your pick. All these are from different series as I know you have plenty of Ace Combat recommendations. 怨魔の契り (Pledge of Demon / Kuze’s Theme) from Yakuza 0, COSMO BABYLON (OMAKE Version) from Devil Engine, and The Azure Arbitrator from Ao no Kiseki.
The whole Ace Combat series (if I remember well, there are 18 games, 8 of them are canon) has a lot of good soundtracks! This may be a bit late but I recommend "Aim High" from Ace Combat 2.
Ace Combat is such a great series for how it blends live guitar and orchestra so well. You’ve probably already been told about a ton of other great Ace Combat tracks, so I’d like to bring up a track from another great series, Pledge of Demon from Yakuza 0.
