I am french andI was at this concert in 2001, we sang together: we love you, I love you... And for 22 years now, every day I have listened to this song of mutual love❤❤ And to know that I was able to help her a little bit during a difficult time for her warms my heart. I am a fan forever...❤❤ And I married my wife right after the concert. Thank you Lara for this unforgettable moment
The fans are not singing with Lara, but Lara responds on the singing of the fans. The pianist plays on the singing of the fans . Lara sings the second voice, she allows that the fans are singing her song in the the first voice.. Lara is dancing with her voice around the singing of the fans ...emotional and humble
Heey! I am in Curacao as well! Lara Fabian is simply amazing. I literally listen to Lara’s performance of Je Suis Malade a couple of times a day. Bonochi!
Lara was facing hard times , both on the personal (health, love betrayal and breakup) and professional (her progress blocked in the US by her own record company) sides. Her fanbase knew it and wanted to show support and they used this song, her biggest hit, in France, but also in Russia and Eastern Europe, replacing the title” Je t’aime / I love you” by “On t’aime / We love you”. I love how Lara, after the initial surprise, establishes a beautiful dialog with the crowd, giving them room to sing with her. It shows how benevolent and humble she is. The song itself is a gem and she has performed it in many different ways: here are 2 versions, the first one powerful, the second subtle and delicate ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UsQ1F7o6ogE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l826rlBOn9w.html “Je t’aime” was written by Lara Fabian and Rick Allison, her music producer and composer. He also had been her boyfriend for a few years, at the start of her career. This song was written when their love evolved to a friendship and speaks about a couple splitting while still having a lot of sentiments one for the other.
Is it right that the piano player arranged it with the crowd (somehow) it does feel like he stops and Lara is surprised by that first, and then the crowd singing. Then he picks up once the crowd is singing. Sure I read that somewhere but no idea where...or if true. You're the one to ask!
@@javyoung i have read a comment of someone pretending to having attended this concert and he told that the leaders of Lara’s fanbase organized this and indeed got in touch with Pierre Grimard, the pianist and musical director of this tour, to make a surprise to Lara. I don’t know if this is true but I tend to believe it, as you can see Lara is surprised by the delay from Pierre, even before the crowd starts singing. In any case, it was a wonderful surprise and Lara was really moved and her state of mind uplifted by it.
You need to know something about this performance. Lara wasn't feeling well: betrayed, divorce, financial problems and recording company did something to her. She was in a very dark place including suicide. The person in charge of her fan club knew this and contacted her pianist, this is why she was surprised and looking at him where he was supposed to start but he wasn't. The pianist and the fan club lady they agree that everybody at the concert will sing to her this song and they changed the lyrics from " I love you" to "We love you" . The lady send the memo to everyone at the fan club and people at the entrance of the concert were passing the message. She did say when everyone were singing to her she decided to fight and live.
Thank you! No one was there lol. I stopped it early because I didn’t want it blocked. I am a don’t like stopping them in the middle for that it annoys me lol I hate stopping songs in the middle ❤️🎶
I don't know who made her an American, but she is a Belgian - Canadian. So she can sing in French, Italian, English and more languages. That proves she is no American. And a love song to her, we love you, by so many thousand. Very well organised by her fans.
@@jennifersmusicpage Ciao JENNIFER per essere esatti LARA è metà belga e metà italiana con cittadinanza canadese (ottenuta a 25 anni nel 1995) Tanti saluti.
Free advice, for reaction video just watch video, you don't need turn your head for camera and miss some important parts of video... We can see your reaction even if you don't turn your head. Else Lara sings "I love you" but crowd singing back to her "we love you (Lara)"
It's too bad you missed the real emotion of the performance by cutting it off, instead of watching/listening to the end of the video, where you get a glimpse of the true emotion of Lara and her interaction with the audience. The audience was not singing with her, but to her. Her lyric Je t'aime translated is "I love you", they were singing back to her...."we love you" A suggestion.....never cut a Lara video off early....let it play to its end.
