This song is so much fun! I love the nostalgic 90s thrashy grungey vibes. I love that they mixed it with their own signature sound too. The rising riffs with the intensity of tatis vocals building up took it to that next level for me. They gotta release this as a single. It’s got so many enjoyable elements. It’s too good!

Regarding Pantera, it's definitely one of the bands they love. I may be wrong but there will be some more Pantera-ish stuff on the next song - 'Copycat' - particularly there is one bit which sounds very (post-glam) PANTERA to me, one bit only couple of lines (it's another very Jinjer song where there is a lot of stuff going on together, the moment quickly goes to some of Pantera's roots, in my eyes XD) I wonder what others think about that part, maybe I'm totally off. Returning to the topic - Jinjer spoke about Pantera being one of their favorite bands generally in some posts/interviews, and actually they noted that the choice for the opening track to be "Call Me A Symbol" was inspired by old thrash albums and particularly Eugene mentioned Pantera's "Strength Beyond Strength" as an example of an aggressive track opening the record.

Thank you. Your analysis make me fanboy out even more over Jinjer because you have the knowledge and vocabulary to describe what intrigues me about their music. I've listened to this album for a week now in rotation to a) find out if it starts to get stale at some point or b) if there are weak songs that I might start skipping. So far the opposite has happened. Every song has gotten better with every listen. Keep up what you're doing, you're one of the very few "reactors" worth watching because your videos are enteraining and help me learn something about the music I enjoy. Nice Shirt, I was living right in the middle of the Death Metal scene here in Tampa when Death, Obituary,Morbid Angel,Athiest,Deicide, Malevolent Creation, etc.. were just coming up. Cannibal moved down here too back then to record at Morrisound! Now your getting into the heart of Wallflowers, SO some elements of the album your enjoying so far that you'll notice in Copycat. Tati's piercing scream over Blasts> Yes. Vlad's lethal Crash> Yup Eugene all over the place with juicy runs>Yes Roman doing his magic with so much cool riffing>Yup! BRRING ITT!!!

Unreal, dude! Got to see CC live back around 2000, but would have been killer to see them with Chris Barnes still in the band. As for all of the other bands in the list I had to make do with their cds in the late 90s / early 2000s!

@@JWSoundworks2 Cool 😎 I was lucky to see all those bands double digit times down here in their infancy to what they became. Barnes was awesome with lyrics & signature vocals. The music on newer CC is Good But I've never been a big fan of Corpse G. Morrisounds Scott Burns is the God of Death Metal Production, his list of albums is unmatched. I'm sure you have some rainy days in your homeland, if you wanna kill a couple hours check out CC's Centuries of Torment Documentary DVD #1 on RU-vid. Lol again commenting another small part of the video - the drum sound -- I have no idea how ppl record drums normally but I saw Vlad show that they had 3 overhead mics ("threereo" as opposed to stereo, sic), 3 mics for bass drum, 5 mics for snares, also some extra mics for other drums and some I guess custom-made (???) large drum.

Disclosure is one of the more playful songs on the album. Definitely getting Alice in Chains and Pantera vibes as well. Tatiana has mentioned that she used to listen to lots of grunge when she was younger. Personally I never really got into bands like Nirvana, but Alice in Chains hits that sweet spot sometimes. Vlad and Eugene have mentioned/alluded to the fact that they are influenced by Pantera and Opeth. Those two bands are favourites of mine so those elements are music to my ears (no pun intended😁). I am pretty sure you'll discover more of that as you work your way down the album track list. Also I think I might steal the "Your mind is as shallow as a puddle on a hot summer day" line as a benign insult😂

I mentioned that I got some AIC vibes from some songs on the album (on your last video), and while this is definitely one of them, its not the song that originally planted the seed in my brain. There are some darker melodies and riffs that reminded me of "Frogs" and "Love Hate Love".

Thanks for going through the album at this fast pace, I know it's a lot of work, but I'm so happy you're doing it. Quick question, do you change the EQ of the song when you upload? I feel like I'm hearing a lot more of the instruments on your videos than when I listen from let's say spotify or RU-vid music. And I kind of hear this difference even when I listen to both you video and the song on the same setup and speakers. Also could be only me trying to hear more to see what you point out, don't know. As for the more 'popular rock' catchy part the guys mentioned grunge influences Alice in Chains I guess (I myself haven't listened to them so cant say for sure if that's what they referred to, to me it was more like hard rock part tbh XD) Plus the story about the song is that Tatiana was upset about a rather weird and passive aggressive interview with some political stuff and painting the band 'evil' 'un-patriotic' etc so I kinda feel some 90s punk stuff maybe in the vibe. Even if not in music then in lyrics idk

Sorry for not commenting much on your analysis here. To quote a certain Irishman you might know, “it was class.” But, to add to that mysterious “list” you have somewhere under your piano: I already chimed in on the band Orbit Culture and their song Redfog. If you like it enough for a follow-up you can go backwards, laterally or forwards in the discography. A band I suspect you have heard but if not, it’s up your alley: Black Crown Initiate and the song Holy Silence. The first request is more for me but the second, we’ll see if we have you pegged yet or not.

That 'serious bit' with the "don't follow me" lyrics... Do you hear 'flight of the bumblebee' there? I only caught it last night, but it's tension building/frantic energy & it suddenly clicked - hey, that's the bloody bumblebee music! I know Vladi has some classical composing skills & we can all hear the groove influences (Pantera et al) but I think there might(!) be some classical influences in there too. Let me know if to spot any. Also, one track gave me Metallica vibes at one point, I'll have to go back & find it. Think it's As I Boil Ice but will listen again.

I'm missing the surprise factor of some of their earlier songs. So far we haven't heard any breaks into reggae, rap, jazz, or something new. Perhaps that drop at the end of Vortex is the only part that takes the listener in an unexpected direction. I wonder if this is a conscious decision, to move away from novelty songs or something.
