I watch Kristin all the time and somehow, every time, I’m blown away by her versatility. This is amazing. For Good is amazing. Yet they’re totally different vocal styles and require so many particular modifications going from one to the other. Most vocalists settle for being great at one or the other, but Kristin makes both look effortless. 😤 Glitter and be Gay is so fun because she goes back and forth between her bel canto voice and straighter musical theater voice, totally seamless. And her physical comedy on top of all that?! It should be illegal. 😂
This little pocket rocket is amazing. I've been to a lot of concerts and I've seen a LOT of incredible musicians, but my favourite concert I've ever been to was Kristin Chenoweth performing at the Sydney Opera House in 2013. Absolutely gobsmacked.
Kristin Chenoweth attended Oklahoma City University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in musical theatre in 1990, and a master's degree in opera performance in 1992, studying under voice instructor and mentor Florence Birdwell.
What I love about your reactions is that even you show very strong emotion towards certain singers, it is very well deserved and you have strong arguments to prove why they deserves the laurels. Which is the case with Kristen Chenoweth, truly a stunning performer and vocalist.
Love Kristin! I'm a vocal coach for B'way auditioners here in NYC. And in the theatre community here, everybody, EVERYBODY loves Kristin! It's rare to get a lead soprano who's funnier than the comedic roles. Lol! So funny! Anyway, I've been enjoying your visual guides in your demonstrations. I also use a lot of visualizations. Now here's my question to you. I've always noticed when Kristin goes for more powerful notes, she often juts out her lower jaw. It should cause tension in her voice, but her voice still sounds so free when doing it. Do you think it might catch up with her in the future and cause any problems? I was always curious about that with her. It puzzles me. Thanks and keep up these good and entertaining videos. I've always believed if you can make it fun while trying to describe something that's mostly internal and often times difficult to achieve, it keeps the students more relaxed, and thus keeps their voices more relaxed instead of tensing up when they're having trouble getting something. 🎼🎵🎶😎👍
The part I'm always amazed at is when she sings on top of the couch. Anyone who has stood on a couch, knows it messes with your center of balance. Now add high heels!! Then hold a long high note. Good luck with that. Kristen pulls it off with virtually no effort.
Did the free breath support videos get taken down? Or is there a different place to find them? I followed the link and it sent me to the website where I could purchase stuff. Let me know. thanks 😊

Can we stop this trend of music teachers fake "rEaCtInG" to things they've already seen....it's not a reaction, it's an analysis. It takes away all the excitedness of seeing their genuine emotions and hearing the real thoughts, not some preplanned skit
