i dont know which youtube god i prayed to correctly in the last couple of days for the original one of these to blow up, but y'all best believe i'm gonna capitalise on it
Sierra is always just the littlest bit higher than the actual note and I don’t know whether to be more impressed because it’s so high or mad cause I sound off when I try to sing along
It’s cause she’s not a natural soprano. I’m the same, a mezzo who can sing high so usually go a bit over the note - it’s kinda a consequence of working too hard lol
The note she's making might be too sharp - but that's understandable because no one's voice is perfect, but hers is pretty close so we're obviously gonna appreciate this anyway cuz let's face it... none of us could ever do anywhere near as well as her. xD
I would like to thank the broadway gods for finally recognizing Hadestown for the masterpiece that it is Anais Mitchell really snapped and let the entire cast go Off for the broadway version huh
I love the broadway cast so much, especially Eva and Amber, the OG Cast was soooo good though, the original orpheus and epics are my faves. Such a shame they changed the epics from aomething so powerful, to something so close to great but not quite there. Dont get me wrong i sooo love them both
@Alex BOWER how was I rude?? I wasn't saying I don't like Natalie, I was saying that I don't like Seymour. In the bootleg she acts super bratty about the fact she died from birth complications, even though Catherine Parr also died from birth complications, who may I add, doesn't act entitled like Seymour.
Alex BOWER she’s just saying that her least fav queen is Jane? There’s nothing wrong with her saying her opinion. I don’t really have a least fav queen, but I do have my favs, such as Anne Boleyn. But, at the start when I just got into the fandom I didn’t really like Jane, now I really do like her.
That is definitely my favorite part of Legally Blonde as well. That, "the room just got colder," and "3 kids just like the Kennedys," have broken my replay button.
Okay but like I do like this performance of Phantom but my FAVORITE IN THE WORLD is when during the ALW Birthday concert they did it with Sierra and 4 Phantoms (including Ramin). The other Phantoms were great, don’t get me wrong, but Sierra and Ramin’s chemistry were so through the roof that he not only went last with all the split up lines he straight up said, “Sing, MY angel of music...” and looked up for a split second like, “This one’s mine, bitches. Move over and let me work. “ SO GOOD
He’s also excellent at sounding like Crawford, which I will always hold as a main reason that he got cast for both the Royal Albert performance *and* the Love Never Dies original cast.
Some people don't like him as much because there are TONS and I do mean TONS of amazingly talented Phantoms out there and some fans tend to focus on just one: Ramin. Maybe he's just not their cup of tea, and they prefer another interpretation of Phantom done by someone else. It's mostly because he's so popular no one cares about the other actors. Same goes for Sierra, and I must admit that she is good but she is not one of my favourites. It all depends on preference.
As a trombone player, I love being able to hear the trombone in Wait For Me. As a musical theatre fan, I “love” being able to hear *only* the trombone.
@@melissam597 I sing opera, and our music director always assigns me to a different group from the altos when giving out the roles. Or I don't know, maybe you're right. I always get to play villains or male roles though so it's really fun! :D
I'm so happy that Cats was included in this! Most people tend to hate on it because they think the show only appeals to furries (when the shows been around so much longer than they have lol)
Baylor Webb i’m guessing the audio was just better with the recording, so they put it over so you could have an awesome video and good audio to go with it
Fun Fact! Jemima's singing voice in Cats (1998) was actually Helen Massey, and Veerle was the actress! Helen's voice gives me CHILLS during Memory!! Just the way she sings the word flowers is stunning! and Elaine Paige will always be a queen (i really love this video btw)
Kanya Rain I’ve performed on Broadway, 2012. Sofia doesn’t have a good technique in most of the recordings on here. Many actors and actresses don’t practice a healthy technique just because they get to Broadway. Look at Idina, Eden Espinosa, those are just two very obvious examples of how your voice degrades over time if you’re not using or taking care of it properly. Just because someone is on Broadway, doesn’t mean they have good technique, plenty of my friends never listened to the music directors tips and now they can’t sing due to strain, nodes, damage, etc. If you’re singing like Sofia, stop, get a vocal teacher, and do it safely. Your voice is your career, and you need to take care of it.
4:11 I am in LOVE with this moment, this woman, her voice, her role, everything. And the other verse she sang! When I saw this as a kid I was shook, enchanted, my world changed. Her singing is the best part of the musical imo cannot get enough Like, seriously, the biggest compliment I ever got (in my opinion) was my little sister telling me I sound like her when I sing.
Six, The Addams Family, Hadestown, Cats and Hamilton??? Damn you’ve got great taste Also including Nat’s soundcheck, Colette’s first Parr and Jemima’s part of Memory??? Legend.
Avacado Babies you have to find your comfortable place before tightening the corset, if that makes sense? I love corsets, they feel like you’re wearing a hug lol.
Where is the Falsettos. When Whizzer jumps over the couch saying, “I was trained in karate,” and so casually towers TOWERS over Marvin during the Thrill of First Love I get *CHILLS*
6:45. Hamilton’s got their copyright laws so strict this is the best quality they could get and not even with a video. Geez. I mean it’s worth paying for but some ppl can’t afford it at least let us enjoy small clips at the bare minimum
